i talked to an angel in my shower until the water ran cold. i begged xem to let me come home. the angel asked if that was what i truly wanted, if i would be willing to leave everything i have made here behind to come back.

i would not gain what i once had if i went back. god is far less forgiving than people say. i would not get my power or my wings. i would only be in a place where i am uncared for and unloved. i would not get the things i miss back. in fact it would be torturous. to see everyone around me having what i miss. knowing i will never have it again. god does not forgive as easily as they say.

i should not crave things i do not want. but sometimes i miss it so bad that i twist my own view.

Whenever I feel my phantom wings, I imagine flying. How the air would feel under my wings as I made my initial jump. The air through my feathers as I glided past trees. The feel of humidity in my lungs as I disappeared into the clouds.
