Powers:
- He’s been weirdly chilly since waking up on the island which he chalked up to like... island weather - til he noticed he actually generates a thin little breeze over parts of his body. Just like the earth, but localized, inconvenient, subconscious, and weird! But acknowledgement is the first step to getting it under control innit
History
- Only child to Marcel Wo and Myoung-Eun Kim. Two very intense people (in some kind of science and industry sector)!! They definitely put effort into their child... maybe not in the most wholesomely nurturing way...
- Growing up he received conflicting visions of the future. On one hand, in terms of socialization and intense conversations in The Office, he feels like he’s being groomed as his father’s successor, especially as an only child. On the other he’s been pushed into academia, though he’s managed to rationalize it as philosophical training. Presently he’s tried to superglue all his experiences together like “Good it all makes sense now!” but. He’s human. It’s a little confusing all at once.
- Relating to his relative blindness growing up, there has been a growing sense that his parents were waiting for something before advancing to some new big endeavor. Obviously it was this. Now he’s not panicking or anything but he is trying to do all the math on his own in a short period of time, and what he’s come up with is, he more or less was meant to and thus needs to come out of this as his family’s new messiah. Lol. Basically I want to give him a vaguely suffocating sense of responsibility towards things he doesn’t understand yet is drawn to outside of his will. Think about what YOU want baby! He should really consider the option that he’s just an experiment and may be sidelined if he’s not perfect at the end.
- Why was he never told about this powers thing til he was kidnapped to an island? His parents just. Neglected to mention. I think they were given the opportunity to make their baby a science experiment and were like Cool a surprise tool that will help us later. It’s complicated...like he’s their son and a human being so they started out giving him tools to be a big man and cope with responsibility but then as he quickly became not-a-child and started developing um an ego and orientation they were like “Oh wait, quick what do we do with him”. Like they’re busy people too and the temporary solution was he ended up as a company asset on hold for the moment.
