i keep seeing “clicker trained Dennis Whitaker” content and the clips are just, like, Robby verbally correcting him. that’s not what clicker training is!! Clicker training would be Robby charging a marker word/noise/etc with positive reinforcement over time to create an association between that marker and reward. Example (if we assume physical touch would be a high value reward for Dennis): Dennis answers a question correctly -> Robby says “Yes.” -> Robby gives Dennis’ shoulder a squeeze.

“Yes.” Would be the click in clicker training. Over time when Dennis hears the word “Yes.” said in the right tone, he would immediately know he’s done good and be confident in his decision. All about positive reinforcement fellas not punishment
