“Hmm…” Blanche watched the move calmly as it drifted past her as away before poofing in a small puff of air. “…Not bad, maybe with some training you could evolve that to something better.” the leader looked up to Tamotsu, “Does she struggle in anything else aside battles? Like festivals or contests?” Blache was trying to paint a picture for herself here.
The edges of Tamotsu's mouth tugged downwards.
➟ “I haven't tried either of those things. Like I said, I'm new to training Pokemon.”
To Muchul's quiet squeaking, the teenager kneeled down and gently ran their fingers along the top of the Smoochum's hair. As she closed her eyes and sighed contentedly at the motion, Tamotsu continued talking;
➟ “I was given Muchul by one of my family's butlers. She and my Mime Jr. were parting gifts for my journey, you see; I knew Manene before I started traveling, but Muchul and I met the same day I started my career as a Trainer.”
To that, their eyebrows furrowed a bit. They didn't want to get into coordinating; they were travelling in order to become a competitive Trainer, after all. But if Muchul wasn’t going to be the best Pokemon for fighting, then...
... No; there had to be some way for Muchul to become a fighter. The Gym Leader was trying to help them, and they weren't going to jump to conclusions about their Pokemon.
