Taking some very serious liberties with the game-canon Dagoth Ur fight ‘cuz it feels like it should be harder? More complicated? And scarier. Definitely scarier.

My brain is stuck at the battle of red mountain so I felt like making a comic about it but I don’t have the time to make something that big yet so I’m contenting myself with some story beats.

Just thoughts:

I think Nerevar sent Voryn to align with the Dwemer to keep a man on the inside(a few accounts make sense that way) and why Dagoth Ur says that he did something dishonorable for him

I think when he got corrupted, the thoughts in his head where like “This is how he’ll finally see me as an equal” (I HC that Nerevar started to show more interest in Alandro Sul as of late and did not properly appreciate Voryn’s service and loyalty)

I think Nerevar didn’t agree to destroy the tools then and there because he started to feel that corrupting power himself and he needed backup.

Dagoth Ur claims that Nerevar betrayed Voryn and I think it would be fun if Nerevar came to the tribunal being like “Lord Dagoth will only surrender the tools to me and me alone” so after the Tribunal killed him they attempted to fool Voryn by necromancing Nerevar to ask for the tools which lead to Voryn thinking Nerevar betrayed him.

sketched up some voryn outfits.... idk why he was much harder to wrap my brain around. i feel like a lot of his outfits would be similar so thinking up new silhouettes was hard. adding on top of it general difficulties with morrowind outfit styles

i wanted to think of a more cold weather or skyrim inspired piece... maybe what he wears when working with ysmir wulfharth??? or maybe traveling in skyrim or solstheim. big fur trimmed cape is a must

i tried to go with a delicate floral theme with lots of layers. dunno how successful i was in the sketch it might make more sense in a big version

smth more casual, maybe for travel in colder weather like up in the ashlands

im not sure. ngl. i just wanted very loose flowing robes. this one feels the least morrowind to me but i do like the long draping

perhaps a battlemage outfit? theres armor over heavy robes here and emblazoned with the deal of house dagoth.

longer robes that def seem ceremonial. maybe for important meetings or ceremonial events. once again tits out bc i think voryn deserves it (i mean have you SEEN what he was wearing in that volcano???)
