Hello this is my nerevarine Aderbal he is an alcoholic and skooma addict, be nice to him pls.
Redraw of a Dagoth Ur from 2024
(original, also below)
I adore how much you adore voryn. recently got into your blog. any opinon on his dumbass 'canon' shitbeard ash vampire face under his mask? i prefer achingly beautiful man whos been scorned by existence. a undead painting of tragic fate. But whenever i see the texture under the mask i laugh at how doofy he looks.
i dunno if its just texture reuse or intentional, but its funny how almost no one accepts that version of him.
For your comfort if the mask is removed his face isnt the generic ash vampire face, but he infact has no face at all, its just a gaping hole due to it missing a mesh
I do dislike the texture though and i think its just reused like it is with every other ash vampire, so i think of the design less as a true visual of dagoth ur and more like an attempt to generally get the house dagoth leaders vibe across. I love the concept for what we have, but i do find some execution of it boring, personally im not into having yet another videogame villain who has this on-steroids matcho body type, and there couldve been more cultural details added apart from just beards and crowns, all done without overcrowding it
Of course, i also portray him like i do in my own art simply because its what i find pretty and i think fits with my ideas for him. Great emphasis was put on him being a sorcerer and he is still very much a chimer and not a dwemer, so his design should reflect that. Also i think effeminate men are neat LOL and him having a unique face makes him feel more real

Hi! I've gotten into MTG with my friends lately and I'm building a deck around Minthara. The card art uses her beta design and I don't really like it, do you mind if I use your art for my own proxy like this? (Your username is in the artist credits part of the card)
You are allowed to use it, just do not ever sell it, thank you C:

How do you draw backgrounds so good 💔💔💔💔
Dont know how to answer this as backgrounds to me are like drawing anything else just more time consuming, id just say do a ton of real life studies, study your fav background artists and generally pay attention to what other people do for backgrounds, having a narrative in mind on what the background is supposed to convey via story or atmosphere helps, learn perspective, ALWAYS gather a lot of references before starting to draw, and lastly have patience and faith. Dont give up if you fail, i can certainly say i failed a lot before and drawing backgrounds are still hard for me due to my lack of ideas and patience
Also dont be afraid to simplify backgrounds, sometimes its not worth it to spend 20 hours on a wall that doesnt add anything and preferably have some mastery in still-lives before tackling things like interiors
