keychains (badges n stickers) will be sold as preorders. this means i open them for likely two weeks, you buy 'em, preorders close then i have them produced and shipped to me. at this point, i ship them back out to you

Mala! I want to study in Cambridge England. Have you ever been there? Is it really posh? My mom thinks so but I’ve never left America so I’ve got no clue about anything. -🧂

nope but prolly sorta? i assume you mean u wanna study at the uni of cambridge and not just in cambridge (lowkey is there even any other unis there?)

generally i'd think carefully abt studying in england bc international student fees r ridiculous (its abt 9.5K for domestic and anywhere from x2-x6 for international depending what undergrad degree u want to do). maybe u got that cash to burn tho, who knows

oxbridge (oxford and cambridge) are not only mega competitive meaning u need good grades and extracurricular to stand out, UCAS applications (the company we use to submit apps to uni) need to submitted earlier too, a couple months before everyone else

i personally didnt choose to submit to oxbridge at all despite having decent grades bc i didnt want to scrummage for extracurriculars or events or competitions, and i wouldn't cope well with the academic stress of attending The prestigious universities. look into it tho, it might be ur alley but think proper why cambridge? for the school, the city?

I’ve been to see cambridge uni and some of their courses.

It’s great depending on what you wanna do at uni. Its great at the older more traditional stuff but the teaching can be really old fashioned and not up to date with the new modern standards but they get away with it because its oxbridge and people wanna be there still.

One of the major downsides to me personally is the accommodation. There is only one accommodation provider which is the university itself. This means that they can charge insane prices (central london prices- [150-200 british pounds for an ensuite] anywhere else [150-180 british pounds for an ensuite within the univeristy but you are always able to find more inexpensive accommodation near me the ‘private’/non uni accommodation is 90-120 for the same room])

Oxbridge overall is good if you want to attend a prestigious university but personally I’d go and visit to make sure it is the right university and the teaching style is right as its a big chunk of money for ordinary folk especially when going international. I’d go for the next band of universities called ‘Russel group universities’ which have almost the same teaching qualifications and experience for less cost but still a ‘competitive university’

There’s a lot to the application process a bit more to what @mala--draws has said.

Oxbridge requires candidates to go through at least 2 rounds of interviews. This is if your personal statement (application about you and your experiences bit) and grades are up to their standard. Even then you are not guaranteed a spot. Usually the first round of interviews ‘takes out’ 3/4 of the candidates. The second takes out another 2/3. In the final round of interviews it gets down to a 50/50. The interviews usually include skills based and critical thinking based activities designed to make you struggle and think about possible answers.

Please note that people apply for ‘colleges’ for their accommodation and they only have up to 5 spots (if not less) for each course in that one college.
