While Johnny may not be as religious as his parents, he still carries a saint with him. Not at his mother's request, but for his own comfort.

In a job that leads him across the globe, responsible for the survival of many and the deaths of others, he allows himself the juvenile comfort of another man close to his heart.

Like Saint Christopher, he carries the weight of the world upon his shoulders. Though Johnny does it with less grace, and his method of assistance follows a violent path that does not abide by the words of the divine.

He does so with wrath, envy, gluttony and pride. Saint Christopher does not help him disregard temptation; he brings him home, and Johnny figures a job half done is still work completed.

In his tamest of days, Johnny seeks the man's guidance in getting him through a toothache in one of his back molars.

On the worst, he drags a man out of the line of fire, hauled over his back and ignores the notion that those few seconds are wasted protecting a human life rather than abandoning it for a moment more to complete his task.

Only when throwing himself at a terrorist does he think of the man as a martyr, killed for following his beliefs and refusing to abandon them in the face of scrutiny and agony.

And he remembers the words of a captain he met many moons ago, who clapped a hand on his shoulder and declared, "They'll make a martyr of you yet, son."

a younger, newly promoted captain price with a fresh, out of mandatory leave simon. price being so overwhelmed with trying to juggle his new responsibilities while simultaneously trying to keep simon above water that it ends up with them in a heated fistfight with hurtful words spoken.

huge fan of the depth of a good purple but another area that draws me is definitely around aquamarine/turquoise/seafoam. you can not go wrong once the green starts getting just a tinge more blue. a gal could certainly do worse than to pull over there and stay a while

I honestly didn’t realize how big the Ghoap art/writting disparity was compared to any other ship. Like looking at all the Gaz and Soap it feels a little barren (because of course I’m bringing them up).

Most of the time Sopaz stuff is just poly141 or Xreader stuff. Not dissing on that. Just not my cup of tea.

Honestly, just writing this because I’m surprised is all. Not going to pressure people to write/draw stuff they don’t want to. I just like my sergeants lol.

jumping off the leather daddy nik post. nikghost petplay au… simon in a pup hood…… ough the dynamic between them

i like the idea that simon would need some form of organized play to get comfortable with sexual intimacy again… relying on the structure of each scene and unlearning bad habits under nikolai’s guidance.. perhaps a part of him finds comfort in being in a mask while also getting to drop the “ghost” facade and not think for a while.

i think simon would fall into some form of codependency in the beginning with it being so out of his depth, but nikolai whips him into shape through being just as stubborn as simon is. ensures that simon knows they are on equal footing and that he can voice his opinion at any time, stop a scene at any time, or just outright decline a session for no reason at all. though don’t get him wrong, nik still very much enjoys having such a strong man drop to his knees with as little as a glance when he forgets his place..
