I really liked the slowdive album which I was happy about because I’ve found some of their other stuff in the past a bit much and I t would give me a headache 😅 but I really liked these songs! It was like floating through a dream and it definitely is like driving in the rain music if you know what I mean! My fav song was probably..either waves or Celia’s dream:)
I also was really surprised at how much I liked the beastie boys album, it’s like totally out of my comfort zone which was nice because It just introduced me to a whole new genre of music, though I do have to say I preferred the more punky songs to the more rapping ones? but that’s just a personally preference:pp my fav song from it was probably heart attack man :))
And the Leonard cohen album was also good, it’s not as much my taste as the others but I still enjoyed listening to it, I mean it’s Leonard cohen you can’t go wrong….

yes the slowdive one is so peaceful !! it's so dreamy and lush and beautiful, i lovee it for studying (and i 100% agree about their other stuff, ik people say souvlaki? i think? is their best album but this one ughh i love it) (also. celia's dream. yes)
OMG ill communication 🥹 i agree !! i'm so happy you liked the more punk songs... i might have picked it for you for that reason 😼 but also because it's my favourite beastie boys album... it's so varied and just. an accumulation of a bit of everything i love about them if that makes sense? i lovee their punk roots showing and instrumental experimentation and bits of really funny lyrics mixed with deeper/ more reflective ones and their rap ofc.... ANYWAYS ikr it's so interesting ! and they're definitely introducing me to other genres and 80s/ 90s hip-hop as a whole because omg i've never gone into it at all before so i get youu (genuinely this means sm to me ALSO YESS HEART ATTACK MAN it's actually my favourite beastie boys song. ever. SO. OMG)

i genuinely think i’m addicted to finding new forms of media to obsess over… the high i feel when loving something new and so intensely is UNMATCHED my heart feels like bursting with joy it’s warm and golden and i get. so excited thinking about it and when i forget for even an hour it’s like OMG WAIT I LOVE THIS THING and i feel ecstatic again wow !
sometimes i feel like mike d when he told a german interviewer on the hello nasty tour that the wop "just has a way of grabbing a hold of you" and "[he] used to do it and sometimes the spirit of the wop just comes alive in [him]... the wop returns" in a joking way and the interviewer just was just... very intrigued and concerned and kept asking him to elaborate...
