Chapter Summary:

She turned around when she heard Johnny walk down the stairs. Compared to his engram self that always looked the same no matter what, this Johnny looked like he's been put through the wringer.

His hair looked disheveled and overall he looked like someone that should not be approached before he had his first cup of coffee.

"Since when are you up?" Johnny trudged over to the coffee machine and pressed some buttons until the smell of freshly grounded coffee beans filled the air.

V wasn't sure how to answer that since she didn't sleep at all. When they were curled up in each other, there was a part of her that really wanted to close her eyes and just rest but no matter how hard she tried to, she couldn't switch off her brain.

Canon can give me the most tragic pairing and tell me that there’s not even one outcome where they’ll ever end up together or have a truly happy ending and I’ll write a hundred different scenarios that are either fix-it fanfics or even adds more pain because that’s just how my brain works.
