ok so i’m the creator, Calc. basically Zinni is “what if Merlin was an incredibly op child”. I thought it was funny, so i did it. they’re about 8-10??? years old, was a student at the Lycium around 4-5, taught Mirael at like 6-7, ect… basically crack treated seriously because i got attached.
anyway keep it sfw. you can ask things both in character and just ooc questions about them

Zinni opens and reads the letter excitedly, smiling brightly, then quickly writes a reply and sends it off via magic:
“Hi mister Faramor! I’d like some cheese crackers and pretzels please! Oh, and some apple juice! I really like apple juice. I can’t wait to see you!!!

Morgan stares at Zinni with his hands on his hips. He's not amused.
"So... you took the spells, tried them out and now we have some overgrown rabbits, two random people having swapped their bodies, Wrathwood Grove is covered in snow, and a gigantic pair of scissors is stuck in the Taothos Rift. Literally." He stares at the massive handle that's coming up right in from of Glowhaven.
"In my defense, Merlin, the spells I've given that kiddo were not meant to cause any of that... so come now, what on earth did you do?" (@afkj-morgan)
*Zinni looks up at him, a big smile on their face*
I experimented! i learned that changing the rain spell slightly makes a giant blanket of snow fall from the sky all at once, like oomph! lots of snow suddenly!
Oh oh and the rabbits were a mix of the, um, multiplication spell and the cloning spell, though it had to be changed so that it worked on animals and not just plants-
*they pause*
um… the body swap was an accident though…
Oh! and the scissors was an enhanced enlargement spell!
*they beam at Morgan excitedly*

How old are you again? Because when I was your size I already knew what I should and shouldn't do. And you clearly failed to tell the difference.
I asked you to test the spells and report. With not a single breath have I mentioned the word experiment. You neither listened well nor have you read the instructions that came with each spell. I suspect you to be incapable of both.
I will go sort out your single-brain-cell-magical-failures now... and you are going to come with me.
And you will keep your hands in your pockets and your mouth shut unless I ask you something. Understood?
Afterwards I hand you over to Merlin and focus on my own work miles away, to never be bothered by you ever again.

But how are you supposed to full test a spell’s capabilities if you don’t experiment? A good spell is a spell that can be changed for different situations.
And I did read the instructions! How else was I supposed to change them and learn how to reverse them?
*they pull out all the scrolls from what looks to be a magical pocket dimension, opening the rain spell and pointing at new notes on the page*
I changed this here to make the rain snow, and this to make it fall all at once-
*they pull out a new page with more notes*
-and doing this lets you change how much you get and you can basically make a small amount of water or snow to control. And changing the spell like this reverses it!
*they pause, biting their lip*

*They look around, wincing a bit at the chaos*
… ‘m sorry. I’ll, um, go get my scissors
*they shove the pile of scrolls into Morgan’s arms before running off. a bit later, the giant scissors are gone from sight*
*Morgan shakes his head in despair.*
Understand the rules, before you go about experimenting. You can't approach research that nilly-willy. You need to define parameters first and consider certain circumstances that must remain stable in all your work.
I don't care how much snow you were able to throw onto Wrathwood Grove or how many fancy rabbits you cloned, because there is nothing to compare that with. You wasted my time.
So yes.... unfortunately you did exceptionally bad.

... Yeah. I doubt anyone would want to feed these rabbits tons of roots everyday just for the cuddles. It's best they serve a higher purpose.

Hi Fyo! Being Merlin is really weird. A lot of people think I’m too young, but i think it’s ok! I get to do magic all the time and I think that’s the best cause magic is super fun!!! Because I’m Merlin, I can look at these really old magic books though sometimes they’re a bit confusing.
