OH MYYY GOOOODDDD.
We’re getting a Season 2. Netflix actually answered my deepest prayer. I was so so scared as the weeks went by that we wouldn’t get another season but this feels like such a weight off my chest. We get to see Joe and Georgia hopefully be endgame, how Georgia is gonna react to Austin and Ginny leaving and how MANG are gonna deal with this fallout.
AAAAAH!!! What a great day!
GNG S2 RENEWAL BESTIES
Fans were keen to know whether the mother and daughter drama ‘Ginny and Georgia Season 2 would be back on Netflix. The last season for the series ‘Ginny and Georgia’ was out on February 24th, 2021. Season 2 will soon come back on Netflix for the viewers. Here is everything that we know so far […]
this is close to how i already raved about the realism in some parts of ginny & georgia to the point it knocked me out because I'm not used to seeing it in tv shows portrayed this well. but something else i absolutely adore about ginny and georgia's writing is the way the kids are just kids and they act like kids they dress up in silly group t-shirts and go to a dumb high school sleepover and do teenager things, and dance to the cupid shuffle and get matching hairstyles and think it's all the coolest "littest" thing ever and ginny runs over to ask her mom to look after her things so she can play with her friends and they're hyper and dramatic and think they know the world, it's all very 15-years-old, and the writers never try to dress it up as something it isn't or make it all sexy and dark and Adult, it's childlike fun it's 'cringy', it just let's the kids Be in a way you're constantly aware of their age without needing to be reminded.
Two things I goddamn want from Ginny & Georgia season 2:
more Joe screen time (preferably with Georgia, but I digress)
Ginny being happy/at peace with herself (preferably through therapy and/or reconciliation with her mother).
How did Maxine never notice anything between Ginny and Marcus??? I mean wasn’t the sexual tension so obvious???

You just called Britney Spears retro, so I have to go cryogenically freeze myself.

The way their bodies are moving though…
okay so I know people are saying these two are toxic BUT if you think about it the fact that they both have poor mental health (self harm, etc cough cough) makes them connect with each other more! And okay the sexual tension is beyond me! I actually think the fact that they climb into each other’s windows to chat is hella cute so in conclusion: I WILL AND ALWAYS SHIP
I think "toxic" is a word that is thrown around, but it doesn't apply here:
YES, Hunter absolutely didn't deserve to be cheated on -- and as much as I love them, Ginny and Marcus deserved to be confronted and face up to their actions. But Marcus and Ginny's relationship itself?
It started off awful; Marcus seemed like a callous jerk. But it evolved into something sweet: they connect and understand each other on a much deeper level than Ginny and Hunter. Ginny liked the IDEA of dating Hunter more than him, and she was pressured by MAN. Marcus was the only one who saw and really understood how she is struggling. As Felix Mallard has said, Ginny and Marcus make sense to each other.
As far as climbing into each other's windows goes: from what I've read, this is a reference to the 90s series, "Clarissa Explains It All," in which Sam used to climb into Clarissa's window. By the time Ginny's birthday rolls around, she's used to seeing Marcus show up and is happy to see him. She returns the favor, climbing through his window in Episode 9. It's something unique to them on this show, and I found it cute.
I'm also slightly baffled by the "Hunter is the guy we deserve, but Marcus is the guy we want" comments floating around. Because Hunter's an outgoing guy, polite, and great student? Sure, it makes sense. And we really don't know much about Marcus' background yet -- something I hope that gets explored in season 2. So far, Marcus has been shown to be a sensitive person with different talents (painting, music, for example), and he loves deeply. Some of his previous bad behavior might have been due to his grief, and regardless, he's just an introverted, misunderstood 15-year-old. Hunter is a good guy...but Marcus is a much better match for Ginny.
And their chemistry is 🔥🔥🔥.
I love these two troubled, angsty teens and am rooting for them to make sense of the world together and to find happiness with each other.❤
