Ancient magic, such a mysterious, unexplored and fascinating concept, forgotten by the entire wizarding world, was the source of the purest and rawest magic in the world. In theory, only a few gifted wizards could see this magic, and even fewer could manipulate it. And Jayce and Victor were neither of those wizards, at least at the start. The young and gifted Ravenclaws had dedicated their lives to a common vision: to combine magic with the technology of the Muggle world. Teetering on the edge of legality, not even London's University of Advanced Magic, Research and Magical Theories is willing to sponsor their controversial research.
Meanwhile Powder and Ekko leave no stone unturned at Hogwarts, and Vi does what she can to keep her sister out of any trouble. However, when Powder overhears Headmaster Heimerdinger's conversation with two young scientists, she becomes almost obsessed with the search for ancient magic. An energy so pure and chaotic it speaks to her through the walls of Hogwarts Castle.
But something is very wrong. A second Muggle conflict is imminent. And one thing is for sure...
It is no longer safe in the wizarding world.
