Thinking about the fact that Moira crawling forward to pick up the gun and save Claire is the ultimate embodiment and acceptance of Claire's earlier statement: sometimes you need to make the hard choice. It's terrifying for Moira because, well... what if she misses? She doesn't trust herself around guns since Polly and now Claire's life hangs in the balance. But she needs to make the hard choice. If she doesn't then Claire dies. She has to get over her fear, and so she picks up the gun and chooses to trust herself. For Claire she makes the hard choice.
