LESSON 7 TASK 2: My stand about Plagiarism, Piracy, Bias Media, and the like.

The perspectives of users can be significantly shifted as a result of the enormous impact exerted by social networking sites. Because so many people are using so many different networks at the same time, it should come as no surprise that there is traffic and illegal activity going on as a result of the overload of users. It is difficult to regulate the activities that are being planned and done by its users because the media networking sites have such a large community contributing to their growth, which makes it difficult to do so.

Plagiarism in any form is a serious crime punished by law. It is known as copyright infringement and is penalized by monetary penalties. Regarding this text-specific issue, I support pursuing legal action against the perpetrators and making them pay for their actions. I've always been adept at composing paragraphs and notes. When working on assignments that need the use of multiple websites, I always take only the absolute minimum of information and rewrite sentences as necessary. Piracy is the reproduction of an author's original work without proper attribution. As this is a sort of theft committed through media, I believe it should be a major offense. I've personally experienced pirated materials, the majority of which contain viruses and frauds. I have always believed that whomever commits this type of act is irrational. This only causes harm, is destructive to the used devices, and may hurt the user. Media bias and the like, It refers to opinions and media that are published for the mass media that are biased. The closing of ABS-CBN was one of the top trending news stories of 2020. It sparked debates on numerous social media sites, which impacted the online community. Due to the input of a few users' viewpoints, social networking sites were ripe for debate. Even till today, it was a mess.

Social media may be an excellent method to keep in touch with family and friends, as well as to network professionally. There are numerous social media platforms available today, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, to name a few. Despite the fact that social media can be a beneficial tool, it is vital to bear in mind a number of guidelines for safe and responsible use.

Maintain your profiles' privacy settings. It is best practice to keep your social media profiles and accounts set to private as a general rule. You can restrict access to your personal information and photographs on social media by making your profiles private. Avoid uploading photographs or words that are unprofessional. Consider your social media accounts from the perspective of a potential employer and change their content accordingly. Do not broadcast your location. While it may be tempting to upload vacation images or photos taken while out on the town, doing so alerts anyone with access to your social media accounts that your home is unattended and could encourage a thief to break in. Consider twice before publishing while emotionally charged. An angry social media post can have long-term ramifications, despite the fact that it may feel therapeutic in the moment.

What is My Favorite Gadget?

My Acer Laptop/Chromebook is my favorite gadget. Since the day my uncle brought it to me, my laptop has been of great use to me. Without my laptop, I would not have gotten this far in online classes and answering modules when the pandemic began. It greatly aided me in responding to and adapting to the new conventional education system. You can also use your laptop for other purposes, such as downloading movies or playing video games. My laptop also assisted me by allowing me to video call my pals and catch up with my relatives. With the proper amount and care, your favorite gadget will last longer and let you to use it for as long as you wish. I've been taking excellent care of my laptop for the past two years. Making sure it doesn't get ruined, because if something happens to it, it will take a long time for my family to replace it. One advantage of having a laptop over a computer is that you can take it wherever. I once brought my laptop to school to conduct research. Of course, I took precautions. That is why my favorite device is my Acer Laptop/Chromebook.

C.) Pick a music video and watch it several times. Study it closely to see if the visuals are affecting the song. Or is the song helping the visuals in a way? Blog your observations in your e-portfolio or blogging app: The song "Call me baby" by EXO obviously aids the visuals in a positive way in the music video. It suits how they took the frames and timing in taking the images in each segment of the music video, and you can actually repeat it without getting weary of it.

B.) Choose an existing pop song and interpret its lyrics. Decipher what the song is all about and list down the situations being narrated in the song: Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Rey is my choice. The song concentrates on Del Rey's feeling of being indestructible as long as she's with her boyfriend, and compares it to "summertime misery," which could suggest she understands the relationship is as transitory as summer.

What is your opinion regarding the closure of ABS-CBN? Do you agree or disagree with the congress decision? Explain your answer.

I can only say that ABS-CBN is a network that adheres to the fundamental standards of broadcast journalism. This is something that I have observed since I was a child, but after learning the reasoning behind these standards from higher-ups and other sources, I have come to the conclusion that I do agree with them. The majority of businesses' ultimate goal is to make a profit off of typically false news.
