As suspected by many the recent Zoids Teasers have been hinting at a new mobile game called Zoids: Field of Rebellion. We have a lot more information on this but I don’t see anything in the tag, so I’m going to cross post the information. All info for this post is provided by Falcarius and sourced from Dengeki Hobby Online, Takara Tomy, etc.

Zoids: Field of Rebellion will be a free-to-play mobile game that’s coming out this winter. A teaser trailer was released today along with a ton of information. 

The game will follow an original setting based loosely on the world of the Zoids Concept Art books but featuring many more NJR style designs. In spite of the teasers being HMM Zoids we don’t see any such designs in the screenshots. The game itself is being developed by Eighting, who also created Zoids Struggle and Zoids Full Metal Crash. Many screenshots were provided with a game world that looks promising.

To start their campaign they’ll be holding stretch goals for pre-registration through Line, Twitter, or E-mail. Because of the TT site hangups E-mail may not currently be working. Prizes will increase based on how many people pre-register.

Pre-registration Stretch Goals:

-1-49,999: 50 Zoids Gold - 50,000: +50 Zoids Gold -70,000: +One App-original Weapon -100,000: +100 Zoids Gold -150,000: +100 Zoids Gold -200,000: Second Stretch Goal Campaign

Android (4.4 or higher) users may apply for a closed beta of 5000 users until November 6th. Beta tests will run for one week in early November.

So so so. After a great deal of exploring Seoul from recommended sites for Zoids. Only one called Assem Hobby in COEX Mall has a small selection of them from kotobukiya with a Molga, Iguan, Raven Genosaur and a Godos. But don't worry if your a native or a foreigner living in Korea, you might easily be able to use their online shop here http://thehobbyshop.co.kr/product/product_list.asp?ac_type=2&page_ea=25&ac_number=210&bc_number=1659 They have an amazing selection online and I hope to order in store or buy there. The update from Dengeki Hobby that we’ve been excitedly waiting for has been posted, and it appears to be more teaser images in the same general style. There is not yet a decisive statement of what this project is, at least that I can see. However, the main teaser site has now updated with a gallery for these images!

Okay going Seoul model kit shopping this weekend hopefully. Gonna hunt high and low based off internet posts. Keep an eye out I might be able to buy one soon and even start it off. So sad only Gundam stores exist in my city. Too scared to import from Japan yet. Hopefully kotobuyika has good selection here at least.

New Zoids project announced by Takara Tomy!

“Analysis time! Not much useful in the text - it just says “A new project activates!”, although the tagline “A new setting begins here” pops up a couple of times in the source code. The full-size background is here (or a smartphone version here), created by Animareal. The music is here, created by Michiru. The image is newly-made, obviously, but the music appears to be new too (at least, it doesn’t seem to match anything on her site, and the filename didn’t get me any meaningful search results). This is a good sign - new music and a “new setting” almost certainly means a new game or video(s). Animareal specialises in still images rather than footage, so they’re unlikely to be directly responsible for the actual project, and therefore shouldn’t be taken as evidence for live-action (or animation). Michiru, on the other hand, has scored games, movies and anime, so there’s a decent chance she’s providing the music for this project (I certainly hope so). At any rate, so much hype. EDIT: Aha, Dengeki says we can expect more info on the 7th of October. EDIT2: Takara Tomy has launched a hashtag: New Zoids Project Predictions Some of my favourites so far: games by EA or FromSoftware, VR stuff, Hollywood live-action adaptation of the Battle Story (starring Keanu Reeves as Helic, Tom Cruise as Zenebas and Mark Wahlberg as Guylos), 1/1-scale Zoids, Masterpiece Cyberdrive, gijinka, 5-minute Zoidgirl anime, Takara Tomy’s Zoids department splitting off as ZOITEC… and Zoids Go.”
