She turned around, not expecting him to really be there. Oh, but he was, and he was still holding out his hand to her. She took it, feeling dizzy.
@zombaarbie : reminds me of your fic. Is this not the most beautiful thing you’ve ever fucking heard.
I'm literally obsessed with this holy shit
I've always loved the song anyway but now I associate it with Eddie and imagine him just singing it to you sometimes or like having a baby w/ him and he buys them that music box ;-;
Eddie giving you one of his chains to wear as an anklet bc he wants to see it dangling by his shoulder
Time After Time
(Eddie Munson x Reader)
Synopsis: Reader and Eddie go to a friend's Halloween party together. Reader does some super cool/scary makeup for their costumes. Eddie asks to take their relationship to the next step.
A/N: I did special effects makeup for a long time, and it made me think "I bet Eddie would be really into this." It's not even really a super integral part of the story, but I thought it would be cute to include. Also the plot took a turn towards the end so I hope it isn't too all over the place. Still a super fluffy lil oneshot, nonetheless. Any feedback is welcome, as always! Enjoy :)
*GIF is not mine!*
"Hold still, Eds!"
"I'm sorry, babe! It freaks me out when you get that close to my eye!" He gripped the edges of the chair, struggling to stay still as you worked on his face.
You rolled your eyes, "Oh, quit being a drama queen. I'm almost finished."
As the World Falls Down
Eddie Munson x Reader (Friends to lovers!)
Synopsis: Reader and Eddie go to see a new movie together. Reader is obsessed with the movie, and one particular song in it. Eddie learns it to impress her, fluff ensues.
A/N: This is not meant to be part of the lil miniseries I've been working on. The idea struck me when As the World Falls Down from The Labyrinth started playing while I was doing homework and I thought this was just too cute not to write. Also, I think the Labyrinth came out in June of '86 so they wouldn't have been in school because summer, but we are going to ignore that plz and thank you. As always, any feedback is welcome! Enjoy :)
*GIF is not mine, but I wish Eddie was*
"Are you busy this Friday?" You bounded up to your best friend's locker, effectively startling him.
Eddie jumped a little at your sudden appearance. "What'd you have in mind?" He shut the door and walked with you to the cafeteria. He had made plans with Henderson, but he wasn't one to turn you down when you wanted to hang out.
"You know that new David Bowie movie that just came out? I thought it looked really good. Wanna go?" You offered him a little smile. One that he soon returned. "It's got goblins and like a shit ton of other cool fantasy creatures!" He couldn't help the lovesick feeling he got in his chest at the way your face lit up when you rambled about the movie.
"Yeah, sounds cool. What time should I pick you up?" You both took your seats at the table. "Well there's a showing at 4. We could go to that and get dinner after?" He nodded at this.
He knew it wasn't a date.
You two hung out together often and considered the other to be your best friend. He knew he didn't have a chance with someone like you, and he sure as hell wasn't going to confess and risk your friendship.
So instead he settled for stolen glances, fleeting touches, and little scenarios that played out over and over again in his head. He wished for more, but he was content being in your life any way you wanted him. Even if that meant being just a friend.
Friday rolled around and it was time for you to get ready. When you got home from school you immediately began looking for an outfit. Something cute, but not trying to hard.
You knew it wasn't a date.
You and Eddie had been friends since you'd moved to Hawkins your freshman year. He was a year older than you. You two had been glued at the hip since your first week when you stood up to Jason for picking on him.
Eddie had always been sweet to you. He would always offer to give you a ride (even though you had your own perfectly good car), hold your backpack when the two of you would walk to class, and even let you sit in his throne during Hellfire meetings. Not that you would actually play; you just sat there, looked cute, and added into the conversation when you could. Occasionally you would actually participate, but your knowledge was limited and Eddie would have to hold your hand through the entire session.
You snapped out of your thoughts as you entered your room. You had about an hour to pick out an outfit and freshen up your hair and makeup before Eddie would arrive.
Even though this was just two friends hanging out you couldn't help your desire to look nice for him.
After getting changed you went to touch up your makeup and hair, slip on your shoes, and add a cute little accessory to enhance your look. You knew you looked adorable. Despite knowing he would never feel the same, you could never shake the hopefulness you'd felt when he'd give you a compliment or use one of his signature pet names. Obviously, he didn't mean anything by it but a girl could dream.
Before you were able to get too engrossed in your wishful thinking, your doorbell brought you back to reality.
As soon as you opened the door Eddie's breath caught in his throat. Of course, you got all dolled up to go out. You always did. And it caught him off guard every. single. time.
"You look beautiful, sweetheart." It was your turn to feel butterflies now as that stupid name left his lips. You had to play it cool. He didn't mean anything by it.
"You don't look too bad, yourself, Munson." You walked down the steps with him to his van, hopping in after he opened the door for you.
After the movie ended you could not stop gushing about two things.
1. Bowie in those tight ass pants.
And 2. The ballroom scene.
The movie overall was amazing, but you couldn't help how much you loved the ballroom. You loved the costumes, specifically Connelly's dress; the atmosphere in the scene; and most importantly, that song.
At the diner you talked Eddie's ear off about how beautiful you thought the song was and how you just had to buy the soundtrack on cassette. He didn't mind thought. He loved watching you talk about something you were passionate about.
Even when you went on and on about that damned song, face full of burger, he thought you were the prettiest little thing he'd ever seen.
After that night at the movie Eddie got an idea. He wasn't good at many things, but definitely knew how to shred his guitar.
His feelings for his best friend had grown every stronger, and he felt like this could be his opportunity to win her over. After all, it was their senior year and he knew she was planning on leaving for college once she graduated. This could be his only chance to confess his feelings before she's out of this shit-hole town and on to bigger and better things.
Two weeks had gone by since they had gone to see that movie. He had two weeks of practice under his belt, and was finally confident enough to execute his plan. He just hoped he wouldn't lose his nerve.
"Hey, sweetheart, wanna come over Saturday?" He hoped she hadn't notice the slight shake in his voice. "Yeah that sounds good." She nodded with that sweet little smile that he loved so much.
She assumed it would be like any other time the two of them would hang out. Watch movies, talk, share a joint, maybe order a pizza. Eddie, however, was finally ready to make his move.
When she arrived at the trailer Eddie was already waiting for her on the couch.
He took her bag for her and put it in his room while she made herself at home. When he came back out a few seconds later, guitar in hand, she didn't think much of it. It wasn't out of the ordinary for him to lazily pick at his guitar while she was there.
Initially, Eddie was going to wait a little bit before he carried out his master plan. But he grew more and more nervous as it got closer to the time was expected to come over. He knew it was now or never. He had to jump into it before he lost his nerve completely.
He took a seat on the couch next to her. He was worried his hands would be too shaky to play at this point, but he pushed on.
"Hey," He grimaced internally at how weak his voice sounded. "I, uh, l know you really liked that one song. So I learned it. For you." He hated how awkward he sounded. He had gone over what he was going to say beforehand, but forgot everything as soon as he opened his mouth.
He felt that dull ache in his heart. It hurt, feeling like he wasn't good enough for you. He was unapologetically himself, but he'd be lying if he said he hadn't started to feel like he really was a freak after hearing it so often.
Your gasp brought him back to the present. "That's so sweet, Ed! Can I hear it?" His heart clenched, seeing those big doe-eyes looking up at him. Thought it made him nervous, he loved being this close to you. He adored these moments when he was able to really take in your features and envelop himself in your scent.
He was a sucker for your signature cotton candy perfume that you wore religiously. He even had a habit of waiting to wash shirts or jackets of his that you'd borrowed, wanting to keep the lovely fragrance around as long as possible.
Eddie only nodded in response. After taking in a shaky breath he began playing the guitar portion that was towards the end of the song.
You watched him with wide eyes. It was always so beautiful to see him doing something he loved. He was so talented with his guitar. You knew that one day he and his band would make it big, and you always told him so.
He looked downright heavenly when he was in his element like this. You couldn't resist staring at the way his fingers so smoothly plucked at the strings of his guitar. You'd bet he learned this song in no time. He always picked new ones up so effortlessly.
After he played the last note he set his guitar down gently, hands shaking. "Oh, Eddie, that was- that was amazing!" Before you could stop yourself you threw your arms around his neck. Instinctively, his arms wrapped around your torso. "I'm glad you liked it sweetheart."
When the two of you pulled back the energy had shifted. You could tell he was nervous about something. "Everything okay?" You put a hand on his forearm, concern growing.
Eddie let out a shaky breath. He knew that what he was about to do would change your dynamic forever, he just hoped that if things went sour you two would at least stay friends.
"Actually, I need to talk to you about something." You looked at him expectantly, letting him know you want him to go on. "(Y/n)... Sweetheart. I- fuck." He laughed dryly at his inability to form a sentence.
"What is it Eddie?" You looked up at him through your lashes, hand still on his forearm.
This had all gone so much more smoothly when he planned it out in his head. He had been confident and knew exactly what he was going to say and how he was going to see it. All of that went out the window when he looked into your eyes.
He felt like if he said the wrong thing he would lose the most important person in his life. He had allowed you to break down his walls and now he was at your mercy. He was, effectively, wrapped around your finger. Reduced to mush any time you came around.
"I'm in love with you." And it was the truth. He was truly, madly, deeply, in love with you. Unable to make eye contact, he looked to the floor. Suddenly, the carpet had become very interesting.
A hand turned his face towards the girl he had been dreaming about for the past four years. "Do you mean that?" Your voice was a whisper. It was all you could muster at this point.
Eddie's hand reached up to hold the hand still on his cheek. He was gentle, as if his touch could break her. "I do. But I won't hold it against you if you don't feel the same."
It was crazy how he had been reduced to a shy little boy in this moment. He had always been softer with you. But seeing loud, boisterous Eddie 'larger than life' Munson in this state was unnerving.
A smile spread across your face at his confirmation. You leaned in slowly, pressing your lips to his. The kiss was slow, tender, but filled with passion. Years worth of pent-up affection finally able to be released.
Your hand slid up his arm to grip his bicep, while he pulled you closer by your waist. After a moment you pulled away, letting out a soft breath. "I'm in love with you too."
At this a dope, lovesick grin spread across Eddie's face. He pulled you in for another kiss, and you obliged without hesitation. You knew you had a lot of lost time to make up for.
From here on out you two would have each other fully. Maybe it would be a challenge after graduation. You were going away for college, but you knew Eddie hated this town. Maybe he wouldn't be opposed to moving with you.
Whatever happens you knew you would always have each other, even if the world fell down.
An Unlikely Friend
Eddie Munson x Reader
Hey, everyone! I have some major Eddie brainrot so I had to get this out instead of work on my homework. All feedback is appreciated :)
Synopsis: Reader begins her senior year at a new school in a new town. She was nervous about the transition. Luckily, she befriends the members of Hellfire.
Friends to Lovers!
A/N: Initially, I thought this would be a oneshot, but as I was writing and the ideas started flowing I decided it will have more than one part! This first part is more of an introduction- establishing a touch of back story, getting to know the reader, and setting up the friendship (eventually relationship) with Eddie. These will mostly be fluffy, maybe a dash of angst and smut here and there. I promise there will only be happy endings because I’m a Weenie Hut Jr. and my heart can’t take sad shit. Enjoy!
*GIF is not mine! He looks fine af tho*
(Y/n) (Y/l/n) marched through the doors of Hawkins High School with as much courage as she could muster. She was in a new school in a new town. Everything here was unfamiliar to her. She had friends back home and was generally well liked at her old school. Having to start over with new peers her senior year was not something she was happy about, but when a great job opportunity presented itself to her dad she wasn’t given a choice.
Today was her last first day of high school, and instead of excitedly meeting up with her friends to talk about their plans for the upcoming year and gossip, she was nervously making her way to her locker, alone. Fortunately for her, she had gone to orientation a couple weeks before and was able to get to know the general layout of the school.
With her class schedule in hand she grabbed what she needed, left what she didn’t, and made her way to her first class; hoping if she got there early she’d be able to find a nice, inconspicuous seat in the back.
As it turned out there had been a few open seats left in the row farthest from the teacher. None of the tables were completely empty, meaning she would have to sit by somebody. So, she bit the bullet and chose the first one she saw.
Her table buddy was a bit rough looking, to say the least. But (Y/n) wasn’t one to judge. She noticed he has long, dark hair; a leather jacket with a denim vest over top; and a shirt with a devil on it. The look was complete with big silver rings, ripped jeans, and a chain.
“Is this seat taken?” (Y/n) asked with a small smile. He looked up at her, taken aback for a split second before his expression was replaced with a tight smile. He looked somewhat uncomfortable, and she immediately felt bad for asking.
The boy shook his head, dark curls waving about as he did so, “Go ahead.” He gestured for her to sit. She graciously thanked him and took a seat. She figured his awkward expressions were probably nothing, and she had been allowing her anxiety to read into it too much.
That was the extent of their conversation for the next few minutes. She grew more and more anxious in her seat. The silence between her and her new table mate was feeling louder and louder. Class was due to start soon so she thought now was as good a time as any to try to make a new friend, or at least acquaintance.
She turned to face him, a sweet smile adorning her face, “I’m (Y/n), by the way. (Y/n) (Y/l/n).” He had the same look on his face as before. It was almost like he couldn’t believe she was interacting with him. Again, it was replaced almost as quickly as it came. Along with it came a twinge of guilt. Maybe he was shy and she was freaking him out?
A big, goofy smile appeared on his face as he gave her a small, seated bow, “Eddie Munson, at your service.” This made her giggle a little bit. She had a feeling she would get along with Eddie just fine.
“It’s nice to meet you Eddie.” She smiled and paused, the pulled out her schedule to show him, “Do we have any other classes together?” He examined the piece of paper briefly, “Yeah, a few of ‘em.”
This interaction was already making her more and more hopeful that her senior year wouldn’t be a bust. “Oh awesome!” She paused, biting her lip nervously. “Today’s actually my first day here.” Another pause followed by a nervous chuckle. “I came to orientation so I-I’m a little familiar with the layout, but...” She trailed off. To her, it felt like asking for help to find her way around might have been too much to ask of someone she just met.
Luckily for her Eddie was ever the extrovert and had no problem offering a helping hand. Smiling once again, “I can walk you to your classes.” His eyes widened a little and he quickly added, “If you want.”
Eddie was typically not one to get easily flustered. In this moment, however, he could feel his cheeks heating up. This girl was pretty, sweet, and new. She had no idea of his reputation as “The Freak.” He was hoping that, perhaps, if he made a good first impression she wouldn’t head for the hills when she inevitably heard the rumors that were constantly spread about him.
(Y/n) felt her nerves subside at his offer. “I would really like that” Her smile was genuine. Before Eddie could respond the bell rang, signaling that class would officially begin.
After the first class had ended Eddie made good on his promise to help (Y/n) navigate the school. They had a few classes together that day, but he even insisted on walking her to the ones she didn’t have with him. And by the time the end of those classes rolled around and she made her way to the door- there he was patiently waiting to accompany her to the next.
Eventually, it was time for lunch. (Y/n) felt the same surge of anxiety that she had felt earlier that morning creeping back up. Sure, Eddie had been very sweet and helped her get where she needed to be, but she didn’t want to expect him to completely take her under his wing. She knew he probably had other friends that he wanted to interact with, as well; and she didn’t want to impose.
After the last class before lunch Eddie was nowhere to be found. She sighed, dejectedly, assuming that he shared the same feelings as she did.
As soon as she shut her locker she jumped, not realizing that Eddie had been right behind the door. “Jesus, Eddie, you scared me.” She let out a breathy laugh as her hand clutched her chest. “Sorry, (Y/l/n). Didn’t mean to scare ya.” The toothy grin on his face let her know that he was, indeed, not sorry.
“Anyway, I came by to offer you a spot at our table.” He began walking in what she assumed was the direction of the cafeteria. He looked back to see if she followed, slowing down to let her catch up.
(Y/n) gave him a timid look, “Are you sure? I don’t want to impose or, like, overstay my welcome...” She was a lot more comfortable around Eddie now, and much more comfortable in the school, thanks to him. Still, she didn’t want to take advantage of his kindness or make his friends uncomfortable.
He nodded in response, “Yeah, it’s no problem. You’ll fit right in.” And he hoped she would. He hoped that since they had gotten along so well the same would be able to be said with his friends. Sure, they were a group of nerds, misfits; and she seemed like the complete opposite- pretty, smart, anxious but amiable, and just generally well-rounded, but Eddie could already feel that there was something different about her.
The walk to the cafeteria was somewhat awkward. (Y/n) had been silent and stuck in her head the whole way there, scared of meeting a whole new group of people all at once. She knew she was stressed for no reason, she didn’t even know how many would be included in the “we” he mentioned earlier. Normally, she wasn’t such a ball of anxiety but the culmination of fear about college applications, moving, a new school, new friends, new teachers, etc. was overwhelming.
As the two approached the table she let out a breath she didn’t know she was holding in, telling herself to put on her big girl panties and make a good impression. As she and Eddie strode up she could see the boys at the table stare at her with wide eyes. Of course, this did not help ease the tightness in her chest.
Eddie was the first to speak. Clapping his hands loudly, “Sheep! This is (Y/n).” He grins as he gestures towards her. She gives a shy smile and a wave, looking around at the group in front of her.
Eddie pulls up a chair next to the empty one reserved for himself and pats it as he sits in his own. She takes a seat and sets her lunchbox down on the table. Looking around, she notices that they’re all wearing the same shirt.
“What’s Hellfire Club?” She asks Eddie, sounding quieter than she had meant to. This question is met with the signature goofy grin he had been sporting for most of the day. “Have you heard of Dungeons and Dragons?”
The whole lunch period had been not only an introduction to the members of Hellfire, but also to DnD itself. The group explained what they do and what the game is.
Thankfully, (Y/n) and the boys had gotten much more comfortable with each other by the time the bell rang. Eddie had decided that she would be sitting with them from now on, and much to his delight (and surprise) she had agreed, rather happily, he noticed.
The end of the day had come quickly. (Y/n)’s last first day of high school was officially over. While she was excited to go home and spend the rest of her day doing as she pleased, she couldn’t help feeling a bit bummed.
She had enjoyed spending time with her new friend bit more than she’d like to admit, but she figured she should get a start on her studies rather than try to invite herself to tag along with whatever Eddie had planned for the rest of his day.
As she closed her locker and began walking to the parking lot she noticed Eddie making his way over to her. The two chatted for a bit as they walked to her car. Talking about how their days went, and what they had planned for the rest of the afternoon.
She paused before getting into her car. “Thank you, Eddie, really. I really appreciate you helping me out today.” He felt warmth in his face at her sincerity, “Seriously, it was no problem. I’ll see you tomorrow?” She nodded a bit too eagerly at this, and he let out a soft chuckle.
As he turned to walk away she quickly plopped her bag down on her front seat and began digging around. “Oh, Eddie, wait!” He stopped and turned back to look at her, raising his brow. She quickly tore the corner off a piece of paper from her notebook and scribbled something on it. She mentally cursed herself for how messy her handwriting looked, her hands shook slightly as she wrote; anxiety once again creeping up and settling in her chest.
“Um...” She began, “This is my home phone number. If you ever wanna talk or hang out or whatever...” (Y/n) tried to sound nonchalant, but she knew her voice sounded unsteady. It would have bothered her more had she not noticed the light dusting of pink on Eddie’s cheeks, or the way his hands lightly trembled as he grabbed the scrap of paper.
Instead of his signature grin, she was met with a timid-looking smile and a nod. “I’ll take you up on that, (Y/l/n).” And with that he took his leave while she hopped into her car. She hadn’t realized how sweaty her palms were until she grabbed the steering wheel.
Taking a deep breath, she pulled out of the parking lot and headed home. Unbeknownst to her, a certain metalhead sat in his van staring at the piece of paper the girl had handed him just moments before. He had known since he looked into her sweet (y/e/c) eyes this morning that he was screwed. Only now, he believed he might actually have a chance to become something more than friends.
I loved the Delta x reader! It was so sweet x
Thank you!! I’m working on a part 2 (just been a lil busy lately), so stay tuned <3

(see rinse recipe and instructions below hair care tips) ✨Hair Care tips✨ ✨Try to avoid heat styling&, blowdryer and irons ✨Try to avoid styling products and sprays ✨Only wash your hair when you really have to, the natural oils (sebum) that make it look greasy are actually really good for your hair! ✨Use silk pillow covers ✨Massage your scalp regularly ✨Use oils such as coconut oil, almond oil, etc to massage your scalp an hour before washing your hair ✨Cut split ends, once your ends start splitting it will interfere with hair growth so just cut them off even i you’ll lose some length. It’ll be better in the long run. ✨Avoid clip in extensions. I understand you want long hair NOW but in the long run extensions will interfere with hair growth. The clips can also pull out your hair because of the weight. People who use them for years often get bald spots. 🌿Rinse Recipe🌿 Making a hair rinse is super easy and can be done with almost any ingredient. I’ll be using Rosemary as an example but this can also be done with Nettle, Hibiscus,… You will need: 🌿 1 cup of water 🌿 1 teaspoon Rosemary leaves 🌿 pot or pan or whatever All you need to do is add the water and the leaves in the pot or pan and bring to a boil. Once the mixture is boiling, lower the heat so it can simmer for 3 minutes. Afterwards, let your mixture cool. If you want to make more simply double the amount of ingredients. 2 cups of water and 2 teaspoons of Rosemary. It’s that simple. How to use: after you wash and condition your hair, give it a final rinse with the rosemary rinse you made. leave it in your hair for 20-30 minutes and massage your scalp. rinse with water afterwards. Happy hair growing!✨

I had to
my family: we are glad to know that you are a decent girl and that you aren't into obscene things. we are so proud of you.
me, an inner whore whose greatest desire is to be dominated by big stabby men with serious signs of psychopathy:
