I’ll start with a thank you to the anonymous person who actually told me exactly what has been going on, you have been the only one to tell me anything beyond ‘doxxing occurred’ and how I should be ashamed by it. I’ve been avoiding this place because, you know, death threats, so if you’ve been wondering why I don’t respond beyond the two asks I got on the subject, yeah, that.
1) I’ll say it again, doxxing people makes you scum of the Earth, just so we’re clear on the matter. What that means is I condemn doxxing, for the record.
2) I don’t give a shit what people say on the internet, do not doxx them. (If they’re doing something illegal go to the police. They’re paid to do this investigating)
3) Not even if they’re talking shit about me, especially when they’re talking shit about me actually. The same thing I said to them applies to you, if you don’t like what they have to say, don’t read it and block them. (I’m sort of reading between the lines here, the anon said that things had been posted disagreeing with things I’ve said and that the doxxing might be a reaction to that, I don’t know if that’s the case factually but I figured I’d address it) If people don’t like me they’re allowed to go off in a blog post, what they can’t do is doxx and stalk me. I would say vice versa but seriously, just do the block thing, we need far less toxic build up here.
4) If you go beyond doxxing and into stalking, well that’s illegal and I hope you enjoy your prison cell. Same goes for death threats. Also, doxxing is illegal in some places, I’m pretty sure.
5) If you’re celebrating a minors’ absence due to fear and mental anguish, whilst it’s not illegal, it is shitty.
I’ve turned off anonymous asks, so from here on out you’re going to have to own your words.
EDIT - I’d also like to send my condolences to the person in question, whilst I know they blame me, that has no affect on how I feel about the situation. No one should have to live through that.
