"Yeah really," Sofia mumbled, giving him a kiss. "Missed you."

Sighing, he returned the kiss and shrugged. “I guess as long as you an’ th’ baby are healthy though… Still wish I could’ve been there for ya more…”

"I know, I know," Sofia said softly, laying her head on his shoulder. "But, I'm here now, so..." She rested a hand on her stomach when the baby started kicking. "Good lord he's getting antsy," she laughed softly.

*poke* "Hi. Finally managed to get away from Mom."

"Wow. Hi. Its uh… Its been a while, hasn’t it…?"

"Yeah really," Sofia mumbled, giving him a kiss. "Missed you."

"Yeah, Mom’s been wanting me to stay there in case things happen with the baby," she sighed, helping him clean up and then kissing him back. "So? I turned eighteen last month," she said in response to the old man comment. "And I still love you anyway."

"That’s right, you did…" He smiled and kissed her again, lips lingering on hers. "Still, I’m older. Now I’m twenty four… Does yer mom not trust me t’ make sure nothin’ happens? I won’t let anythin’ happen t’ you two…"

"Oh no it’s not that, she’s just worried that medical complications’ll come up or something, like how she was when she was pregnant with Travis, and I thought she’d told you, but I guess she forgot, that happens sometimes, I’ll talk to her about it." Sofia shrugged then gave him a bright smile, hoping her news might cheer him up a little. "So, while I was there, I found out a couple of things," she began. "One, I’m having a boy, and two, he’s due in about the middle of September."

His hand moved down to rest on her stomach, smiling as he felt the baby kick. “A boy? That’s fantastic! I mean, I was hopin’ fer a girl, despite all th’ trouble we’ve had with Nadia, but a boy is great, too.” James grinned and laced his fingers with hers. Then, the reality of what she said hit him. “S-September? We don’t even have th’ lake house built yet! M’ apartment isn’t baby proofed or anythin’… Oh god, I’m totally unprepared…”

"In fact his due date is the day before Mom's birthday," she giggled, leaning up to give him a kiss as he started freaking out. "It's okay, Mom'll help, she can get the same stuff she had when Travis was a baby, so we have nothing to worry about. In fact I'll call her in a bit and ask her."

You’ve been spendin’ a lot of time in Academia lately, haven’t you?” The Irishman kissed her gently and sighed. “I’m an old man, lass.”
