@zombiiegang
NGL I hate how white girls incriminate Maui and try to paint him off as a sexist figure for stealing the heart. Yes, stealing the heart was bad but we’re conveniently forgetting that the humans asked him to take the heart for their own selfish greed. Maui did anything the humans asked and that was just to prove the selfishness of humanity. He didn’t steal the heart because he was a man and Te-Fiti was a woman, he stole it because the humans asked him to get it for them, just like he got them everything else (he sang a song about this y’all). So yes, go ahead and interpret the movie anyway you want, but don’t incriminate Maui. I am tired of seeing white girls acting like he’s a misogynistic freak when the whole point of his character was to point out the flaw of humanity. But oh well, here we go with white girls completely incriminating another moc. Like there is a post floating around equating Maui to male violence and well, way to go white girls completely missing the fucking point and being racist tbh.
(also if you see this please reblog it, i hate that maui is now some icon for male violence. especially being a moc torn apart by white tumblr)
And yes, disliking Maui on the basis of him being symbolic for “male violence” or seeing him as a symbol for male violence is dehumanizing and racist and I hope every white feminist who thinks they’re “progressive” for seeing that allusion realizes how gross and racist they are.
And the major post going around doing that was written by a white terf, so you really shouldn’t use her as your source of wisdom.
I was unaware this was a thing so I’m following the right ppl. Thanks y’all.
This literally happened in one of my lit classes and like, I called bullshit but know damn well she didn’t listen.
@pragnificent It’s upsetting to know that has spread past tumblr. If ever you want to bring it back up to the girl in your lit class to help her realize how racist and disrespectful to a culture she is being, by all means use my posts for reference and I’d be happy to answer any questions she might have.
Sr bcs this is happening again

Someone should redraw this in the classic TT style!
I think someone whispered my name… without actually whispering my name.
Again, I don’t really think I was asked specifically, but hey, here ya go! ;D
My style = Original Style
The classic Teen Titans style, eh? I’m no George Perez, but…
a true fact about spiders is they can’t run for extended periods of time because they have asthma. all spiders are nerds. even tarantulas. have you ever seen a spider dating a hot babe? i doubt it. spider flashing his cash in the club? nope. spider pulling up beside you at the lights in a lamborghini? never happened. they’ve got so many eyes because they love reading. nerds. all of them.

this is the content that keeps me on this fucking site
REBLOG IF YOU WERE EVER TOLD YOU ACT WHITE OR SOMEONE HAS SAID YOU'RE NOT BLACK ENOUGH OR LABELS YOU AS ANOTHER RACE AS A JOKE BECAUSE OF...
-The music you listen to and enjoy
-The clothes you wear
-A hairstyle you’re rocking
-Because you speak a certain way
-You read a lot
-You much rather watch cartoons or anime except cheesy ass reality shows -The people you date
The list goes on and on, but just because you like these things it doesn’t make you any less of a poc, don’t hide who you are to please a group of people, these things don’t gauge how black a person is or isn’t. So can we stop trying to mold black children into “Right kind of black’ and start accepting THE CARE FREE BLACK CHILDREN as who they truly are, unique, eccentric, limitless kings and queens.
Enough is enough
We cannot continue to raise our generation with the ideals of “Black people don’t do that.” Because that’s destroying the what ifs in us black girls. Countless times I’ve thought about taking my piercings out, covering my tattoos and taming my hair in hopes they’ll stop talking about me… That I’ll be accepted.
We gotta stop telling black girls who are alternative that they’re trying to be white or make assumptions of their sexuality because of their stretched ears and piercings. We gotta stop telling black girls with natural hair that their hair is too nappy or they don’t know how to do their hair and need a perm. We gotta stop telling the black girls with a sleeve of tattoos that they’re trying to be white and no man would want them covered in ink. We gotta stop sexualizing young black girls and telling them not to dress comfortably because of men around them, stop demonizing black children and start questioning the male family members and friends that stare inappropriately. Your child isn’t grown the person staring is a pervert and needs to stay from your kids.
Its honestly frustrating when other races tries to keep black people is a status quo beneath them, but it breaks my fucking heart… It brings tears in my eyes as I’m writing this that my own people would rather put me in a box and tell me I’m not worthy of my own race than let me flourish and be myself but and would rather tear me down to their “normalcy” to make them comfortable.
We cannot continue to raise our generation with the ideals of “Black people don’t do that.” BECAUSE BLACK PEOPLE CAN DO WHATEVER THE FUCK THEY WANT.
