sukuna x fem reader
「 warnings ᵎᵎ 」 main character death, talks of beheading and murder blah blah normal sukuna shit
「 author's note ᵎᵎ 」 i got back into writing after reading a lot of @yenayaps stuff :,) and lots of chatting with @egglain :3 and i am hopefully (!!!) going to make this a little series? if anyone has requests about them or their life or anything send it in
certain cultures have beautiful funeral rites and mourning periods when a member of the royal family passes.
here, in sukuna ryomen's estate, there is no mourning period. sukuna plans to mourn forever.
the estate is quiet. the only sound you can hear is the sound of servants working to remove any potted flowers that lined certain hallways, or any memory of her.
they work diligently and quickly. all were scared that if things were still the way they were when she was here, they would see their queen again - wherever she had gone.
most believed she'd went to heaven. she'd married the king of curses, yes, but that did not mean that she was cruel. their queen was as benevolent as she was beautiful.
that is what scared them. in the ten years she had been married to the king of curses, the bloodshed had faded. no longer were villages being leveled for the fun of it, or people beheaded because he was bored.
she had tamed the beast. and now that she was gone - nobody knew if he would be released again.
the room at the end of the east wing is boarded up, wood panels blocking the door from ever being opened. black curtains were placed on the floor to ceiling so no one could peer in - forever preserving the contents of the room.
it stayed the way she had left it - her easel in the middle of the bright room, a small stool with paints next to her. flowers by the window, wilting beautifully. a wall of books. a velvet couch, a unfinished knit blanket on the arms.
she left an imprint on the estate. she would never be forgotten.
her portrait stood uncovered though. it was moved from a hallway to the throne next to his, where her face would greet those who passed.
that only lasted two days. servants would come in the next morning to find the painting ripped to shreds.
he couldn't stand being alone. it was fine before, he had planned to spend the rest of his life alone. but now that he had lost her, he hated it.
the silence was deafening. the lack of her presence was killing him. he was sure that feeling someone's neck snap under him would feel good. when he tried - it felt horrible. all he thought of was how upset she'd be that he'd taken an innocent life.
she was gone, and sukuna really did not have much to live for anymore.
