Seedboom your surrounding!!!

Seedboms are made with an explosive mix of peat free organic compost, coir and a selection of flower seeds embedded in a recycled paper shell.

Seedboms break down over time and biodegrade into the environment leaving only flowers behind.

Today we had our final lesson on core skills. it was great, for the first lesson we went out and about in wellington answering questions about colour and the effect it had on us. For the second lesson we presented our 'Me, myself &I' assessments. All of them were great to see and it was fun to see how everyone viewed and expressed themselves(:

3 different technical skills i learnt; one was how to make an image a screen and change the line colour, another was to use masking so that way i was not been distractive on an image, and also i learnt how to take an image and erase a section and add another image in its place which looks great and is really effective.

I have finished my self portrait, our assessment 'me, myself & I'. I had a really hard time deciding between my three concepts i created, so i ended up taking things from each one and creating one final concept. The process was really fast to create and i am happy with the final result. Here it is:

My favourite parts of this image is the hands, eyes and shirt. For each of them i erased the original image part that i wanted to change then placed another image in behind. Each hand is a different image, the shirt is graffiti and my eyes have a nature image in them(:

Today we had a fun creative practice where we learnt a nice way to draw a face and did a colour wheel haha.

For our digital lesson we discussed our new brief which is a self portrait with things about us or that we like. I have drawn up 3 concept and im torn between all three :o i think i may just combine the best qualities from all three into one(: I am excited about this even though we only have four days left to complete it. I found some inspirational images to help with this project:

These are all so different and have helped to inspire my creations.

Well hopefully i can complete my ideas and not change it too much this time, wish me luck(:

Today we did our presentations of our 'Take a walk'.

I was so nervous about having to present but with a small practice activity at the beginning of the day i was less nervous to present. Still really nervous but abit more controllable.

Everyones images were great and the level of creativity and experimentation was great, it was fun to see new things and the different view points from my classmates.

Today was a good day, maybe helped me with my nerves of public speaking(; i am proud of me and all my classmates.

Today i explored more on my final design and this is the final product so far..

I found it hard at first to continue exploring but i gave it a go and fund that i actually really like this outcome better. The white really makes it stand out and the colours behind the flower makes it pop. Finally finished(:

For the last two days i have been learning how to use photoshop which was fun and will help heaps with our first assessment(:

Some things on photoshop took me awhile to figure out but eventually after playing around i got the hang of them. i had a few trials but this is one of them:

i also started a trial on my first assignment and really liked it so far
