― So this was something you thought about carefully then?
Közi: I always try to give my all to whatever i do, you know (laughs).
― And yet you also value playfulness. I heard you recently got a Mac.
Közi: Yeah, but i haven’t used it for recording at all. I bought it over New Year but i still haven’t used it for making music.
― Huh? Then what’s it for?
Közi: Just for playing around with photos and collages.
― Ah, i've seen that once in the fan club newsletter, but…
Közi: That was super analog. Cutting, pasting, that kind of thing (laughs). But recently i've been doing high grade, advanced collages.
― So you’ve graduated from cutting and pasting, huh?
Közi: Hmm… I don’t know. There’s a kind of beauty in that cheapness! …Honestly i haven’t really touched it lately (laughs).
― Could it be… you’ve gotten bored of it already?
Közi: No, it’s just that I don’t have time! After coming home, I only get two or three hours to sleep, and that’s what I’m sacrificing to do it.
― That’s intense! Hopefully one day you’ll become a true Mac master.
Közi: I hope so (laughs).
― By the way, i heard the Power Station show on March 24 won’t be a Malice Mizer live performance. Does that mean it’s not “Malice Mizer’s Közi” either?
Közi: Hmm… it’s still Malice Mizer’s Közi, but…
― You mean Közi within the Malice Mizer organization?
Közi: Nah. It’s a different angle. I’m seeing it from a different perspective… uh never mind (laughs).
― Hmm. Some animals have a field of vision larger than humans, right? Maybe on that day we’ll see Malice Mizer through that wide field of vision.
Közi: Exactly! The title actually means “Human Science High Society Syndrome”. So it’s like, looking at humans from a different angle, and scientifically observing them.
― I think I sort of understand… but also not quite. Your curiosity and desire to show off are still very much alive, huh?
Közi: “Look at this!” (laughs)
― …So after Budokan, you have the tour coming up.
Közi: North to south… I want to shake the Japanese archipelago like this (shakes his wrist).
― That’s quite the visual!
Közi: “Visual”? That’s an old fashioned word (laughs)! So… did I land a good punchline?
― …Well, it’s getting cold, so I guess I’ll head home (shivers).
