So, many of you know that I have been struggling with my first publishing house, Ellora's Cave, really since the beginning (2013). They edited out the most riveting parts of my book stating that it was too gender queer (which confused their lesbian readers) they chose a horrible cover and gave me no choice, and the editor that encouraged me to help them expand their erotic literature for "queer people of color" left the company a year after the book was published. These were all bad signs, and looking back, I should have just pulled the book then, but I was naive, and was having a hard time finding new companies. But now, the company has OFFICIALLY CLOSED and has been caught in a scandal that includes the fact that many authors NEVER got their royalties over the past couple of years. I am one of those authors. I know we are living in a time where publishing houses are closing, and books are being burned (as predicted in George Orwell's 1984) but I don't want this book to go to waste, even though, honestly, this battle has made me lose my appetite. If anyone has purchased my book on Amazon/Barnes&Noble/Ellora's Cave etc...please let me know. This will give me an idea of how much money was stolen and may help me should this go to court (no worries, your name won't be included, just trying to gather all the info. I can on book sales). And if you are still interested in a read, I will be self-publishing this book prior to the Ellora's Cave edit soon, along with it’s sequel, Prediction. Any other advice from fellow readers and writers will be much appreciated. This is a serious blow to my mind.
