Hit The Floor Fic: long time no see (Jude/Zero; NC17)

Written for the Rounds of Kink for the prompt: Any, Any, long time no see, sex on, against, or under furniture submitted by Naemi. (I saw this prompt and immediately thought of Jude and Zero. I apparently have a ~thing for them having sex in Jude’s office. *g*) I’m also using this to fill the Locked In square on my card for Round 13 of Trope Bingo. (It technically fits! *g*)

Takes place post-3.11 and completely ignores the existence of season 4.

seriously tho the way he keeps on giving to the fans of the show even after it was cancelled is so heartwarming I love him!!

I think we as viewers are incredibly lucky that James LaRosa even takes it upon himself to share with us his plans for the show’s end even if it might never come on screen. I think it just speaks to the respect he has for fans, and the love and dedication he has for his own creation, show and characters alike. Too often, a show gets cancelled and then we barely have closure through interviews of the showrunner but James has kept giving and giving. Deleted scenes, script outtakes, the general outline of the whole final season of the show. To know that Zero and Jude (and all the others) were “it” in the end just shows how he really cares and knows his characters and respects them as much as he respects the dedicated fans.

I mean… I never doubted that Zero would come back and fight for Jude in the final season and win him back and in the end it’s even sadder that we can’t see it on screen because knowing the outline for S5 just makes S4 a well-written, now incomplete, first part of the character’s final development. Retrospectively, Zero did love Jude and changed immensely over the course of S2 and S3 but I think he had still so much to learn. And that would have been the focus of S5. Learning to really love himself and get to the place Jude was himself. Unabashedly himself. Getting to realize how much he lost to Noah. By now we’ve seen the whole Adam Senn thing but I think, though it was all phrased weirdly, he was onto something. Zero was perhaps not what we’d call a full-on “sociopath” but he still had some way to go before reaching the end. And I really think that while Adam was perhaps trying to put distance between straight-himself and bisexual-Zero, there wasn’t any big on-set drama/feud that prevented him from returning in S4 as opposed to the other engagements he said he had. Seeing that he seems on good terms with James regarding all the Hit the Floor posts I’d go and say he’d have been on board with it, had it happened.

In a sense, though, we’ve got almost all. The storyline, how it ends and even a scripted proposal. A proposal that’s just the perfect parallel to their kiss on court. I mean we already got so much more than what we were expecting… the only thing that can top that is if James releases the entirety of the scripts !
