“Not much I can do, unless I redid them. It would only cause more damage, though.”
She had no intentions of redoing them, either. Phantom brings the second glass of water over to Shadow, helping him sit up and offering him the glass. He sounded like he could use it.
He took the glass, thanking all the Gods above that he wasn’t as weak as he first imagined. He silently thanked her for helping him sit up, but was still angry at losing whatever fight he fought.
He took a generous sip, knowing if he drunk too much now, whether he needed it or not, he didn’t want to strain his arms too much.
“I… appreciate all you’ve done but… for the life of me, I can’t remember what… happened.” He muttered, handing back the water.
“You...”
She starts to say it before thinking better of her words. It was probably for the best he didn’t remember. Probably for the best Shadow didn’t know just how close he’d come to being ripped apart. The ruby glimmers as she turns, curling her arms in with a huff.
“Don’t worry about it yet.”
