My two fav fiction books are lolita and a space odyssey

Both books have been adapted by stanley kubrick but i avoid watching any adaptation of lolita cause it just seems like one of those things that are meant to only be read. I try not to mention it being my favourite though cause

👆 Cause this i dont wanna be lumped into the group of people that are annoying about it. I love both of the books' prose and the devastation I feel when reading them. I think about dolores a lot and for some reason charlotte too

Honorary mentions: i like hitchhikers guide to the galaxy very funny and cute. I like trillian. and i like life of pi The plot twist really turns it into a 10/10 for me And its themes abt spirituality and ambiguity speaks to me a lot.

Fav nonfiction book (only got into nonfic recently):

So far it absolutely is indecent theology by Marcella Althaus-Reid. i read it for a class and it really opened up a new world for me theologically and in thinking about sexuality. a lot of her experience is drawn from poverty in latin america and discusses sex work and sex trafficking and the book talks abt how one reconciles with their religion And sexuality whilst being in that position. reading it felt like my mind was bursting open

For second place does saint augustine's confessions count as a book I enjoyed reading it a lot
