reading Two Sides of the Moon (<- joint memoir about space race by David Scott and Aleksey Leonov) and I'm somehow just now learning that Neil Armstrong is a war criminal. Scott is recounting working with Armstrong and he casually writes "Neil was a decorated veteran of the Korean war, and had had some close shaves"

I was really hoping that Armstrong was in a non combat role or something because I didn't want the achievement of a human walking on the moon for the first time to be tainted by that human being a war criminal but alas. He straight up did bombing runs.

Maybe this whole "NASA" thing was a mistake. Humanity shoulda just kept sending Yura up there!!!!!

by far my funniest ocd induced irrational paranoia thing is that I'll accidentally convert to Islam. Like what if I just accidentally recite the entire shahada and then I just have to Muslim forever. Stupidest fear ever. And I have to live with this stupid fear popping into my head at random intervals
