Without even thinking about it Tsukumo takes the comb before sitting down behind her. He takes hold of the unbrushed threads of hair and softly started running the brush through them. It was a soothing time beween them. One Tsukumo had at some point began to rely on like clockwork. When she didn’t come and ask him, he would eventually come to ask her.

He made a very small noise at her statement before nuzzling behind her, and going back to work. “I don’t want to ever surprise you Toko. Not in a bad way.”

She can’t help the soft chuckle that escapes her lips. “I know, Tsukumo.” It’s just one of the many things she treasures so much about her brother who’s also her best friend and partner since they were small. They are both aware that words aren’t needed most of the time - not to mention permission for something that Toko is certain of that it wouldn’t ever hurt her. And yet, he always makes sure to ask if she doesn’t ask him herself, and it means a lot to her.

Watching Tsukumo diligently running the brush through her long tresses through the mirror, Toko hums in mild amusement upon noticing the way some strands of white hair sticking up on her brother’s head. “-- were you outside again?” Her tone isn’t a scolding one, just brimming with interest because it’s the most likely scenario for the other’s hair style to end up this way.

She’s surprised at the comment, if she has to be honest - especially because she hasn’t expected anyone to notice that she’s shivering slightly because of the sudden drop of temperature. (Granted, Tsukumo would have noticed, but he’s currently busy helping Yuki with something.) So when she feels something warm being draped across her shoulders, all Toko can do is blink in surprise until she meets the other’s kind gaze. It’s enough to draw out a smile of her own. Instinctively, she pulls the blanket tighter around her petite yet well-trained frame.“... thank you, Senshirou-san.”

She pauses in her motions, the brush halfway through her long tresses to entangle them as her gaze shifts over to her brother. For a few moments, she simply blinks at the younger, but her lips soon curl into a small smile that is solely reserved for Tsukumo as she beckons him over. “Nobody’s stopping you, now is there?” Her gaze softens. So far, she hasn’t really finished the task of brushing through her hair, but knowing her brother, he wouldn’t mind finishing that up for her, either - which is exactly the reason why she offers her brush to him. “Go ahead. You know that you don’t have to ask when you want to play with my hair.” Tsukumo is the only one with that privilege, after all.

Uraboku Chapter 55: Revival and Choice

SURPRISE!!!! A few friends and I decided to start scanlating the new Uraboku chapters as they come out. This one was a little delayed as it took some time to get everything organized and a process in place (not to mention I had never actually cleaned or typeset before heh heh heh!) but hopefully by the time 56 comes out we’ll have a quicker turnaround.

We just ask you to please respect the basic rules of any scanlation group, do not repost or redistribute, use your common sense, and of course support odagiri hotaru and purchase the licensed versions in your location if you’re able to.
