A shiver runs up your spine as you look around the room, it felt way too chilly even with your boyfriend Reo cuddled beside you. The cold biting your skin as you snuggle closer to Reo who was fast asleep, his arm draped over your waist, his breath steady, mumbling here and there. While, you were here feeling like death was actively knocking on your door with its pale cold hands. You toss and turn to no avail when Reo just pulls you closer into his chest.
A delicate touch on your back pulls you closer, his warmth spreading through you. "Reo..." Your voice trembles slightly muffled by the way he had you against his chest. He shakes his head, "Can't hear you..." He mumbles into your hair, breathing you in, his muscles loosening it's grip, slipping back to sleep.
"I'm cold..." your voice trails when a tight feeling rumbles up it's way up, the coughing fit hits you, each cough pained your throat, your chest heaves feeling nasty. You cover your mouth with your hands hoping nothing got on your boyfriend.
Reo immediately shoots up like he wasn't even drifting back to sleep. His hand takes the glass of water on the bedside drawer while he guides your body to sit against the headrest. Dark purple eyes scan you over in worry—his hand finds itself on your back while the other brings the glass of water to your lips, you take the glass from him, drinking a few sips.
"Baby are you sick?" His eyes lingers on your flushed cheeks, the sweat that dropped down your temple, and the way your hair stuck to your face as frantic hands pat you down—His forehead meets yours, his lips trembling, "You're burning up...." His voice trails concern palpable in the cold air.
"Was the room too cold?" You shake your head before pausing, "I don't know, it feels hot but cold at the same time." Your face morphs into a frown as a sniffle escapes you. You turn your head to see Reo's frown deepen. If you weren't so sick—you would have kissed that frown away but infecting your caring sweet boyfriend just because he looked a bit too cute with a frown felt mean.
Reo pouts, cupping your cheeks in his warm arms as if it was second nature for him to handle you with such gentle care. “I'll get you some meds, okay? Get your temperature too..” Reo shifts as he gets up from the bed his back to you, he turns to plant a quick kiss to your cheek, “Be right back.”
His back gets smaller by the second as he rushes out to get some meds for you. You feel a tinge of heat in your stomach that had nothing to do with your sickness, he looked so cute fussing over you while your eyes flutter shut. You know your boyfriend will treat you so well it's like you were never sick in the first place. So, for now you shut your eyes waiting for Reo to come back and smoother you with his affections.
