hate for the sequels??
i personally really don’t understand all the hate the star wars sequels receive. the most i’ve been told is that it has a boring storyline and theoretically wouldn’t work in the star wars universe.
but are we forgetting that it’s star wars? it’s literally science fiction anything can happen.
also, if we want to get into the technical parts of the universe, the amount of different planets that the characters visit might imply that there are different laws and things that can happen on the planet.
i personally think that the plot of the sequels is really good, it’s got a badass villain and a badass hero, who end up having one of the most incredible interpretations of an enemies to lovers arc i personally have ever seen. so it’s not ‘lazy writing’.
and people are often saying that rey is like a remake of luke skywalker. to me it’s genuinely like people pick at every little thing that they can to diss the sequels, so what if reys in a slightly similar situation to luke? i personally think it helps for later on in tlj when they’re on the island together, they can understand each other a lot easier.
and to be honest, i’m not a massive fan of the prequels, i don’t really have reasons they’re just not my cup of tea. so i’m not trying to tell people to love the sequels, you don’t have to, im just asking that people don’t disrespect those who do like the sequels, because it’s really not hard to just not like something and shut up about it.
i have been desperately trying to write out my best idea for a reylo fan fiction yet, but i mostly have the dialogue and i’m really struggling to put things between the dialogue. it was an idea that i’ve been working on for about a year, but on an app that creates dialogue rather than actually writing it- so i have an absurd amount of dialogue as well as a few movements from the characters, but nothing else. what do i do?
Part 19 of Scene VI ‘Poe’
i adore the fact that in the scene where ben kills snoke, right before, snoke says:
“and kill your true enemy”
- assuming that bens true enemy was rey
it wasn’t. it was snoke.
i feel like that’s a small detail which a lot of people notice, i just love if.
Wasn't here for a long time, I really need to paint more outside from work... Anyways
This is for my lovely @dispraise
Happy belated birthday, honey <3
Here, have a super shitty Reylo kiss animation.

Finally finished my latest Reylo illustration commissioned by @thedarkside-and-thelight, depicting Ben and Rey during one of their possible future force connections. The drawing was commissioned and dedicated to @perrydowning for her new Star Wars story Unbidden. Hope you like it :D! ——————————— Fb // dA // Insta // Tw // Tumblr // YouTube // Ko-Fi // InPrnt
You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own, than when you almost broke it a year ago… — Jane Austen, Persuasion.
did anyone else ever notice during ben and reys first dyad meeting that ben is strangely calm?
reys instinctive reaction is to start shooting at him and calling him names, acting quite aggressive (i don’t blame her), whilst ben is just questioning how they’re seeing each other.
it’s not really a small detail but it’s just something i find interesting, he felt no urge to hurt her whatsoever.
just me that doesn’t care much about a lot of the recent star wars series they’ve been making, and would find one similar to kenobi (series’ that are on the major characters) far more interesting than the mandalorian etc.
obviously my personal prime example would be on kylo ren/ben solo, before tfa.
Rey: I thought you wanted me dead
Ben: Need, not want
