Just realized I never did an introduction post so I figured I’d do one now!

I’m Simon (or Zyrathi/Zyr)! I’m 18+. I’m autistic. I currently use any pronouns (including neos) except She/Her due to my never ending frustration at people defaulting to using only She/Her with me. I generally don’t label my gender because I personally don’t feel a need to, I am what I am, y’know? Closest terms to generally estimate my gender for people who only know the more popular labels are genderfluid/non-binary/genderqueer/(non-binary) trans. I’m aroace but more than willing to engage in more nsfw convos about characters or certain fandoms as long as you ask first :3

I tend to be a multishipper but it does depend on the fandom tbh. Unashamed proshipper + monster enthusiast >:3

My current big fixations are:

- Iron Lung (+ Ironbutcher [Welder!Jack x Simon/Convict] + Ironbutcher Quarantine (shoutout to its creator, @/roundtriptojupiter - can’t remember if he’s chill w/ pings)

- Project Hail Mary (separate from Iron Lung for the most part, I enjoy the crossovers but I’ve seen so much Bloodymary I’m a little too tired of it to want to engage w/ Bloodymary content anymore atm).

- How To Train Your Dragon (always <3), I engage in non-canon, some of which are lesser known, ships w/ this (specifically Hiccup x Dagur & Astrid x Heather) but I do enjoy the canon Hiccstrid and other ships as well (like I said, multishipper in many cases)

- Wings of Fire (pretty consistent with this one too! actively worldbuilding my own AU because I find it fun to play with!) Qinter shipper on main but I love me some Qinterwatcher as well - fond of Moon x Kinkajou too!

- Genshin Impact (I’m a sucker for lore + the chars - big multishipper here but I do play favorites), Tartaglia main and soon to be Lohen main as well :3 - desperately hoping for playable Il Dottore despite it all

Other fixations that are on the back burner constantly (I never lose a fixation, I just integrate it permanently into my thoughts I guess):

- Pacific Rim (my childhood movie alongside HTTYD), my babies (grown ass scientists that I swing back in forth between seeing as gay as fuck for each other or platonic but so hopelessly devoted to each other the lines blur), my babies 2.0 (mako <3, raleigh <3, chuck <3), my baby (Otachi <3)

- Gravity Falls (the funny part is I’ve never seen the show beyond the first few episodes but I’m invested as fuck in the fan content - I really need to finish watching it but I have a long list to watch rn)

- Batfam (DC), specifically Tim Drake + Jason Todd. I adore them. I love the others too but they’re my favorites <3

- Spiderverse (+ general Spider-man to a lesser extent), Punkflower (Miles x Hobie) my beloved, also Gwen x Miles x Hobie <3

- Warriors (the cat books), I grew up on these, of course it stuck with me.

- Guardians of Ga’Hoole (the owl books), same as Warriors, I wish more people knew about them

- My Little Pony, I will always adore MLP

- Rain World (I suck at the game but love the lore and the scugs <3)

There’s more but I’m drawing a blank now, feel free to ask me about any other fandom just to see if I know it :3

I spend my free time playing video games, drawing and sketching, reading, or writing (worldbuilding). I love creature design the most! I don’t post about my own art/worldbuilding/AUs very often but I’d like to at some point soon!

Art commissions are open! I do character sheets, character designs as a whole, and art of your chosen characters/ocs - DM for examples (if I haven’t gotten around to posting my art by then) and for pricing :3

I also do art trades + design/character trades! Mostly Wings of Fire atm but I will do Warriors, Rain World, and other media as well at some point in the near future! I will post any adoptables I make here which I’ll take offers for (art, char designs, money, etc.), as well as link my Toyhouse at the bottom of this post which contains whatever characters I’m actively working on + adoptables/up for trade characters!

After a week of very emotionally charged lore wanted to throw a brick of my own design, what if, imagine, murals of previous mages, fun, right?

While digging around the storyboards of Iron Lung this clip for the intro showing AT-5 and the blood ocean caught my attention. First of all the design is harrowing, evoking the imagery seen later of the Red Eye in the Void.

From these images (brightened and contrast reduced to see the full sphere beyond the terminator) and area calculations we can tell the ocean only covers 3.6% of the surface and the 'moon' has an atmosphere, one that's a similar color to our nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere. In order to accommodate the ~100C surface temperature required for the blood ocean it would need both significant temperature and significant gravity to maintain such a warm atmosphere without a sun.

The remainder of the surface seems to be solid but very reflective, perhaps a metal of some kind which would add significant mass required for gravity and atmosphere and reflect heat back into itself. Another possible factor could be an extreme rate of rotation which would increase temperature and lessen perceived gravity at the equator but contribute to shedding of atmosphere much faster (but as they've likely only been around since the quiet rapture we may not have to worry about the atmosphere shedding any significant amount). @dessathealien I could easily see your white hole being located at the center of this Eye-like ocean and the way it parallels the being seen in the void is uncanny.

@negative-pressure-ventilator confirmed the map in the film uses meters for scale, and is 600x600m for the initial scan. The extended map for the cave system goes out to x:1100 and up to Y:950, the blood ocean has a diameter of at least 1km but likely much more.

I'm a bit too tired to do more calculations about this tonight but I wanted to get it out there for other people to look at!

Tacking on some of the AT-5 calculations I've had sitting in my notes:

Assuming that the temperature of the Blood Ocean is similar to the average human body temp (37°C/98°F), the minimum atmospheric pressure of AT-5 would be about about 7.1 kiloPascals or 0.07% the density of Earth's atmosphere. Any lower and the ocean would boil at 37°C. If Deadlymelodic's design for AT-5 is canon (and god I hope it is the eye imagery is fucking perfect) and the atmosphere is that visible from space, then I'd lean towards the atmosphere being a bit denser, maybe 30-50% the density of Earth's atmosphere.

Without the gravitational acceleration to work with or any reference for scale, it's difficult to say exactly what the size and density of AT-5 is. If we were to say that the Blood Ocean has a diameter of 1 km and that AT-5 has the same gravitational constant of Earth, then some very very rough math gives us a mass of like... 4.08x10^11?? The circumference would be like 17km though which is INSANE, so I think it's safe to say that the Blood Ocean is a whole lot bigger than 1km.

So many variables, so few answers.

Scott's characterisation this episode was genuinely insane. rambling/discussion below (and A LOT of spoilers)

after Avid’s first death–Scott taking him down into the crypt, showing him the tunnels, keeping him safe in a room. Pyro and Owen trying to get Avid to come with them and Scott telling them to leave Avid because Avid is just level one and can’t do anything without putting himself in danger, pushing for them to leave him alone with urgency, to keep him safe, that he knows how to get out and basically saying he will when he wants to. when Scott feels a vampire has died, he immediately, quietly, questions if it’s Avid. he leaves in a hurry, searching through the crypt frantically for him and literally pausing to say that he was just beginning to like Avid. all the while, he’s speaking, trying to open up the possibility in his mind that it wasn’t Avid–it could’ve been Apo, even. he hasn’t seen Pyro or Owen, maybe it was them. he gets the news secondhand and just says “Huh.” vision narrowing, heart racing (which he mentioned earlier, to Avid, was just a memory of the feeling), ears ringing. he is actively dissociating as a stress response, but when he speaks, it’s that same composed dialogue again, albeit quite a bit hollower than how he usually delivers it. it’s him standing with the vampires as they make fun of Avid in his death. threatening Sausage when he gets too smug. leaves his discomfort with Pyro for another time, he can’t use up his composure too soon, can’t swing. and of course Scott phrases it in terms of moves and calculations because that’s what he knows best. when he’s with Shelby is when he allows himself to loosen some of that stiffness. says that no one’s ever loved him unconditionally like Avid did; not out of a fear for their safety, not out of a fear of being reprimanded, but truly just liking him. it takes Shelby saying that Avid was in love with him for it to sink in. Scott says he doesn’t think he was in love with Avid, but he sounds– confused. it’s like he genuinely didn’t understand what was going on until Shelby put words to it, like he hadn’t ever considered his own feelings in the matter. he doesn’t know what to do with himself. for once in possibly this man’s entire life, he is unsure of himself. he hasn’t felt love or anything close to it in centuries and doesn’t know what it feels like or what it’s supposed to feel like. the way he keeps hammering in Avid’s death – telling off Pyro, saying it wasn’t a good move to lower their numbers, first thing he asks Owen is if he knows about Avid, and when Owen says him and Pyro killed Avid, Scott seems distraught. he keeps looping back to this– constantly asking why? constantly bringing it back that it was the wrong thing to do. it’s so subtle and scattered but it’s perfect. the whole conversation between Scott and Owen back at the castle is so strained and Scott’s anger bleeds though it. Scott stands off to the side of Pyro and Sausage joking around, those two acting like nothing happened, and he says nothing until he starts to leave. then, of course, Scott turns around and goes, alone, to make a grave for Avid.
