âRight, of course,â Jordyn nodded quickly. Duh. âIâm good, things are good and Iâm keeping myself busy,â she nodded. Not only that, it meant that the couples could have an extra eye and opinions about setting up their day. And Jordyn really did love helping them. It took her mind off of the fact that her own love life wasnât going anywhere. âI decided to put something together after helping my cousin plan her wedding. We had a lot of fun doing it, and the ceremony and reception were beautiful. So I got a business license and saved up. The business has been a hit. Even in this modern day and age, people still want to plan the old-fashioned way,â she shrugged, thinking about who this mystery bride would be, but she reminded herself not to judge too quickly. âDo you want something to drink? Water? Coffee? Help yourself to the mini fridge.â
Zac tried to act like everything was normal. Apparently it wasnât normal, by far. It was weird. He listened to Jo and something sunk in and started feeling bad about. âThatâs an interesting turn of eventsâ, he sucked on his lower lip for a moment, looking down. âWhatâs the old-fashioned way?â, he asked, trying to make small talk, that surprisingly he isnât really good at. âThank you, Iâm okayâ, he smiled at her and took a deep breath, wondering where Rachel was. He looked at the door, like it would magically happen and she would appear, just to shake the awkwardness away.
