i like to pretend i’m emotionless but i have at least 200 mood swings a day
Say how gorgeous and lovely I was from a distance before you pulled me apart to find the dead stories inside.

… “I wonder what I’m going to think of myself years from now. Probably that I’m an idiot.” …
Excerpt from an old journal from when I was 18 The paradox is that that made me think, “wow I’m a genius.” (via scrawls-of-daisy-arkanian)
If I write enough I’ll say the right words. If I squint enough with my glasses off I can see straight again. If I’m awake long enough I can finally get some sleep. If I write enough, the pain will leave my body for the page.

What I put in ink Might be what I think But don’t take it as fact That’s where I’m at

I’m sorry that I could only give you the stars when you deserved the universe

I am in love with the beauty of beginnings. The glances from across the room, the hidden butterflies, and the nights spent opening each other up. I am in love with the beauty of not knowing what the future holds, but knowing that it will be magnificent. I am in love with the beauty of all the firsts: the first kiss, the first “I love you” and the first time they shed a tear in front of you. Beginnings are magic, and I find myself wishing that everything is as beautiful as beginnings are.
because getting tired of each other is the hard part // b.k. (via breathless-writings)
I forged my heart out of fire, I shaped it from the hardest metal I could find so that it never breaks, but can be molded into different shapes as many times I wanted, God knows, in this world, a heart that cannot bend is a heart that is not worth having. What I did not count on was for the rain to fall on my metal heart and seep into its corners and make it richety with rust so brown the once steady beat changed rhythm along with its color suddenly, I am not the cold glint of silver suddenly, I have been broken down.
oscarsins (via oscarsins)
loving you was a game of tug-of-war. pulling each other in opposite directions and demanding change that did not want to come. so neither of us ever won. instead the rope tore and we fell on our backs, farther apart than when we started.
tug-of-war by shelby leigh (via nothingwithoutwords)
So who do you run to when your crying that peircing cry, that cry that is loud and sharp, and hurts like hell. What do you do when that cry comes, when the screams mix with the tears, and it all becomes cold. When the pain is so intense, that the only way it can crawl out of you is through those deafening cries. And when your hands are shaking so bad, what are they struggling to type; and for gods sake, who is it that you ran to.
Excerpt from a book I will never write #1260 // i ran to you, best friend, but you were always too busy (via excerptsofstories)
Her heart hurts, so much that she can’t bear to try to heal it.
Excerpt from a book I will never write #1261 // i think we all need to realize that that is the single most painful experience of the human body (via excerptsofstories)
