Façades by Zacharie Gaudrillot-Roy

In the words of the artist Zacharie Gaudrillot-Roy:

The façade is literally the first thing one sees of a building, as its surface. It can be imposing, superficial but can also suggest safety. I’ve always liked to wander around in a city, I walk through the streets with those questions in mind : what will happen if we stick to that first vision ? If the daily life of “The Other” was only a scenery ? This series thus offers a vision of an unknown world that would only be a picture, without intimate space, where looks are the only refuge.

Of course, this work is not a question of artificiality, it is more about perception of a – more or less – specific environment, the facade of a building brings interest in architecture and what it could host, so it inspires curiosity. As a citizen, I know I belong to the city – whatever city – as any other inhabitant. But here, I am looking at the surrounded environment like if it was new to me, so there is a sensation of strangeness and it could bring some interesting questions about how we live and how we see the external world out of our own habitation. But after all, do we really own a private housing ?

كلهم خونة

كانت تلاعب شعره وتقول: انا لا أثق أبداً بمن يحملون هاتفين، هم إما خونة او تجار مخدرات، وكان يبتسم ببلاهة متخيلاً وضعه كتاجر مخدرات، هل يتاجر في الهروين ام الحشيش؟ الحشيش بالطبع، صحيح ان سوق الهروين عالي المخاطرة والمكسب، لكنه مدمر، وهو ما زال يحتفظ ببعض الأخلاقيات الموجودة من تلك الطفولة البائسة. 

يشعل سيجارة له ولها متمتماً، ربما كنت أحدهما، فهل يهم؟ تسقط رأسها على صدره في أسى هجم عليها كما لو كان وحشاً ضارياً استسلمت له في حينها: كل الرجال خونة، كلهم. 

يتناول خصلات شعرها المبتلة قليلاً ويهدهد حزنها المنسدل على نهديه وشفتيها. كلنا خونة، لا أستثني أحداً، يحضر أحمد  زكي في أفيش فيلم لا يريد ان ينسى، لكننا رغم كل شيء سننسى. تصنع كل تلك الذكريات ثقباً أسود في جدار قلبنا، مع كثرة السواد الملتف عليه ننساها لكننا مع الوقت نصبح ثقوباً، أو أرواحاً مثقوبة تمشي على الأرض.

كم ثقباً في جدار روحك يا هذا؟ اضحك مع صديقي على شاي قريب، لماذا لا يوجد مكان اسمه شاي؟ لانها كلمة مذكرة، ثقيلة على القلب، قل قهوة مثلاً عشر مرات ثم قل شاي خمسة، القهوة ستفوز، الأنثى دائماً تفوز، سهلة وسلسة وتصل إلى ما تريد، هكذا كانت شخصيتها او هذا ما كانت تؤمن به وتحققه في نفس ذات الوقت.

تضحك مرة أخري وهي ترتدي فستانها الذي كان مرمياً على الأرض: ام كلثوم دي كانت سايكوباث اوي، اضحك انا هذه المرة: على الأقل كانت تنطق السين، سينا، وتنطقينه انتِ نيلا.

كانت هنا لنمارس الضحك، الضحك فعل مقدس كما الحب، بحاجة للمارسة، للمارسة المستمرة والمتأنية والعنيفة، بل إني على استعداد ان ارسم اوضاعه في تدوينة قادمة أسميها: كاماسوترا الضحك
