there’s this extremely kind soul of a woman on instagram that makes accessible recipes that don’t require standing, chopping, or a stove and she might just have a permanent place in my heart
edit: here's her YouTube account, as well as her TikTok and Facebook :)
the most important things to do in 2026 are to never lose hope, never give into despair, get enough sleep, and try to give yourself a little treat whenever you can

-> “why wasn’t this book listed?” probably because it wasn’t black sapphic-centric, the author isn’t a black sapphic themself, or i just simply haven’t heard of it! so feel free to add on if it meets those two criteria
many of these books require trigger warnings, especially some of the older ones that are more likely to feature racial struggles of the time. please do your due diligence and search for tws if you want to read them!
please feel free to add onto this list in the rbs or comments! happy black history month
There's a reason I don't normally act cute. If I do?? The whole country shakes.
History will remember you today, Minnesota. Well done.
IN NEGATIVE TWENTY DEGREES!!!!!
Please spread this around. Don't let ANYONE lie and say my community is anything but ASTONISHINGLY UNITED in rejection of ICE's behavior. This crosses generations, race lines, party lines, class lines. THAT is how bad ICE is. THAT is how bad we want them gone.
THAT is how loudly we are DEMANDING they leave!
Do you understand what a crowd like this means in a small city like Minneapolis??? In weather that hurts to breathe???
Can you imagine what that takes?
Bigger turnout than his inauguration!
For readers outside the US: Negative twenty in American degrees is -29 Celsius.
I grew up in Canada, and when it was -25 C or below, they wouldn’t let us go outside for recess at school.
Like, everyone had boots and ski mittens and snowpants and winter coats, but still - indoor recess on those days. Cause the risk of frostbite was bad enough to justify everyone spending their lunch break supervising a classroom full of rowdy children.
That kind of cold is viscerally hostile to the human body. Your instincts will scream at you to GO INSIDE. It’s an environment that’s fundamentally physiologically unsafe, and you can feel that.
In the context of that weather, this turnout is even more compelling.
sometimes I think about how rattlesnakes are starting to adapt to bite immediately instead of using their rattle as a warning, because this defense mechanism that says "im here! im frightened! don't come close or ill bite you" has instead ilicited a reaction of "oh fuck a rattlesnake, i should kill it"
so of course every snake that has the instinct to warn humans of its presence gets killed, and only the snakes that bite first and dont make themselves known get to survive. a human who's been bitten is too worried about his swelling ankle to decapitate a snake with a shovel.
it's a good example of how humans make the world more dangerous for ourselves by believing that we have mastery and ownership of it. we think we have the power and importance to control the life around us down to the snakes and insects, but every animal fights for life. and no animal thinks that any human is more important than it's own life.
Oh good, now I have a cheat sheet for Uncensored Nate
My favorite emoji expression me and my friends came up with is "throwing rocks at it"
Basically if you ever see or hear something that displeases you, You go like this:

So on and so forth. But also if something is beautiful or true you throw lotus.

blk chronically ill artist trying to escape dysfunctional family & leave the state to new beginnings. pls help me escape a mentally damaging environment. thank you so much.
while this family member had only said this verbally & through text, i am still unnerved and uncomfortable knowing this. it is deeply distressing to be seen in that way by a person who shares the same blood as you.
i wish to go low/no-contact w these relatives as well when i make my move. it has been a long time coming as i've struggled seeing generational curses take place & i refuse to continue such a cycle.
all i want is peace. please share this to resourced folks who can share, don8, and run up interaction! thank you so much for reading. bless you. 🫂

立華 鉄, Tachibana Tetsu 尾田 純, Oda Jun
蝙蝠 - “Bat”
Type: Traditional, arm
Features: Oda’s bat is green and paired with a flame. Tachibana’s is orange with leaves.
Bat - Japan’s mythology surrounding bats is highly influenced by their use in Chinese art and myth, where they are symbols of good-fortune. The Chinese word for bat: “fu” is pronounced the same as the Chinese word for “happiness,” and contributes to their positive symbolism. Chinese artists used five bats to represent five blessings: health, long life, prosperity, love of virtue, and a tranquil, natural death. However, Western influence around the 20th century has spread the image of them being “creepy” animals.
Flames - Passion, Energy, desire, movement
Leaves - leaves represent the Earth element and the cycle of life.
Green - Symbolizes luck, fertility, growth, youth, eternity, vitality and energy.
Orange - Symbolizes happiness, love, knowledge and civilization.
沢城 丈, Sawashiro Jō
龍魚 - Ryugyo, “Dragonfish”
Type: Traditional
Features: White Dragonfish with golden eyes, teeth, and horns, and a red underbelly.
Dragonfish - The dragon represents strength, power, and ferocity while the koi embodies perseverance and strength of will. Together, they allude to the legend of the koi fish, representing transformation and re-birth.
Depictions of dragons in Japan are greatly influenced by the Chinese dragon, though Japan does have its own native dragon myths. While in China dragons are primarily associated with the element of wood, in Japan dragons are also associated with water and rain. Japanese myth tells of a coral Dragon Palace in the ocean. Eastern dragons are powerful and fearsome, but mostly benevolent creatures known to protect temples and help and reward virtuous people.
According to legend, koi attempt to swim against the current of China’s Yellow River and up a waterfall, but only a few of them are able to swim past a point called the Dragon’s Gate. The dragonfish captures the moment of this transformation, and therefore combines the meanings of both the koi and dragon.
A koi swimming upstream symbolizes being in a battle or struggle, still overcoming obstacles without giving up. It also symbolizes gaining the strength needed to continue against the current.
White - White is the color of mourning in Japan. It is considered blessed/sacred and represents purity. A white koi is a symbol of success in one’s career. It may also represent the son of a household.
Gold - wealth, royalty, prestige and the color of the heavens.
