In every season, you.
[a rinharu ficlet]
Haru’s feelings through the seasons while Rin is away.

In winter, Haruka saddens. November arrives, Rin leaves, taking with him the warm mornings and bright days—as if the Sun itself followed his trail. Haruka feels a chill on his shoulders, the echo of a touch that’s no longer there.
The memory of that winter, when tearful red eyes left him behind, haunts every shadowed corner of his loneliness.
In spring, Haruka yearns. Every pink petal falling from the sky whispers his name: a soft, familiar voice.
He smiles, remembering those red eyes full of awe gazing at the cherry blossoms, the nostalgia no longer hurts; no, it becomes a warm refuge. He wonders if Rin knows the effect the trees have on him now—maybe he does, maybe he even makes them promise to be extra lush when he leaves, so Haru can find him in every petal.
"The cherry blossoms reminded me of home." Me too, Haru thinks.
In summer, Haruka dreams. With the heat, the water breaks free from the ice and comes back to him—and in it, he finds calm again. Sometimes he thinks he can feel the shadow of a voice that taught him to dream for the first time, a summer long ago. The sun embraces him, but its light isn’t the same.
Between laughter and waves, Haruka keeps searching for him in every sunrise.
In fall, Haruka hopes.
Every falling leaf is a second closer to Rin’s return. The air grows chilly, but this time he doesn’t fear winter.
He knows that in a few weeks, the Sun will be his.

so i finished reading erha for the first time recently and i decided to reread right away while my feelings are still raw and let me tell you, this might be the best decision i ever took in my life.
i see people often saying “oh to read erha for the first time” and i agree. oh to read erha for the first time, but oh to reread erha and see all the foreshadowings and hints that have been there since the very beginning.
can you imagine how absolutely gagged i was when i read this and realized that it was NEVER about shi mei??
yeah.

Why is it necessary that a piece of art "condemns" or "normalizes" something. Is it not enough for art to say "here are some fucked up people in some fucked up situations for your enjoyment"? The art doesn't have to judge them and neither do you. It's for your enjoyment.
