to scout, sniper looks like an anchor, like stability. but that's actually not the case. scout is loud and wears his heart on his sleeve so he falls apart like an explosion. sniper lives in his head; falling apart for him is rotting internally until he is nothing. they are not opposites attract but adjacent, the way diseases align. they are comorbid.

i think an anxiety headcanon lends itself very well to scout. with the rabbit motif an just the general idea of speed! gotta get the hell outta here! he has his bat, but when things get bad he is going to run just like his father. he is fight and flight

Honestly, I never gave much though to the blu team (sorry blu team) so I had to sit down and do some thinking and prep for this. I mean, who are the blus? Clones? Coincidentally very similar-looking people? Whichever interpretation you like, I though it’d be fun to try to give blu scout some backstory, which would mirror that of red scout. Basically a similar setup/different outcome & similar behaviour/different reason for it kinda situation, with blu scout’s backstory being a darker/less positive (more maladaptive??) take on what this could be (Lil Pootis and Emesis Blue are pretty much semi-canon to me at this point :p).

Here are some notes on how it could look + some other stuff.

As for their relationship, I think they like each other very much :)

Hope this makes sense and I didn’t go completely off the point.
