ive been really enjoying historical fiction, especially 1910s-1960s (though im also interested in reading books with more recent but not current settings, like 70s-90s) and i'm looking for more books! ones ive read recently that i liked are KJ Charles' Will Darling Adventures, Cat Sebastian's We Could Be So Good/You Should Be So Lucky, Allie Therin's Magic in Manhattan and Roaring 20s Magic series... it doesn't have to be m/m, those are just the ones that i happened to have read lol. thank you!

If they don’t have to be Romance, Lev A.C. Rosen’s Evander Mills series (starting with Lavender House) is a really fantastic mystery series set in that first era. The Secrets We Kept by Lara Prescott is great for Cold War era, and for WWI, definitely check out In Memoriam by Alice Winn. For Harlem Renaissance, Nekesa Afia has a mystery series starting with Dead Dead Girls, and

If you do specifically prefer Romance, Charlotte Anne Hamilton has a few in that time - The Breath Between Waves and Of Trust & Heart. In m/m, go a tiny bit earlier for Behind These Doors by Jude Lucens, and then right in the middle, check out Dublin Bay by John Patrick. For Romances involving three parties, check out The Bootlegger’s Bounty by Adriana Herrera and the t4t4t The Companion by EE Ottoman.

Miért nem mondott semmit hogy hol keressük ha elmegy? Miért nem szólt, hogy ő ott lesz az őzek között, vagy a felhők én, amelyiknek olyan ember alakja van, az lesz ő. Vagy amelyik olyan, mintha egy ágyban feküdne dunnák között. Keressem az öreg kanapék között, amelyiken ő is feküdt gyerekkorom óta. Keressem a húslevesben, lássam az arcát kirajzolódni az apró zsírpöttyök között. Gondoljak rá amikor répát eszek, hogy aztán őt fütyüljem a számmal. Vagy a madártejben, vajon ő lesz a pille? Vajon ott ahol ő van sok madár tej van? Remelem csak a puha habokon pihen, nem pedig a tejben van. Nem tud úszni.

És az arany ékszerek? Amiket mindig osztogatott kettőnk között, hogy melyik lesz az enyém és melyik a testvéremé, azok között keressem? Az árválkodó házakban, amiket az emberek ott hagytak, mert a természet győzött felettük? Amikor meglátom a magányos házakat vajon abban leszel? A tető lesz majd a hajad és a kis fejed, amiben még most is annyi erő volt. A ház falai az apró kezeid, amikkel annak idején palacsintát tanították készíteni.

Hagyj kérjek tőled egy utolsó dolgot. Tudom, hogy nem kértem egy ideje semmit, mert már egy ideje homályban voltál, amibe belebeszélve csak elveszik a hangom.

De bárhova is mész. Kérlek. Félre tennél nekem egy kakaós palacsintát? Úgy ahogyan annak idején csináltátok. Kis körben, vastagon megtöltve. Én pedig cserébe ígérem egyszer még megtalálom azt a palacsintát és az égi nappaliban megesszük együtt, vasárnap, te, Api, Anya, Apa, Réka, Csabika és én.
