Idk if anyone noticed but I left tumblr for a bit, it became a super bad environment for me. Iâm going thru & unfollowing a lot of blogs rn. If weâre friends and I unfollow you by mistake feel free to dm me and let me know
Also if I do start reblogging/posting more itâll be a lot different from what my whole thing was previously, and I know that, so I wonât feel bad if any of u unfollow me either
Actually, I'm going to deactivate this account and just start over. I'll post my new user on this acct before I leave for good tho, so if it matters to you to follow me again then keep a look out
hey guys friendly reminder from your fave Canadian that esk*mo is a slur so please donât use it!
I see it usually in the context of âesk*mo kissesâ which may pop up when people talk about their ships and their headcanon, but it means âsnow eatersâ in cree and is a slur against Inuit people so please just donât use it!
and I would appreciate if u reblogged this because people outside Canada donât seem to know this for the most part
Also if you want to refer to ââeskimo kissesââ and not use that term the Inuit term for it is ââkunikââ. Itâs a traditional greeting usually between relatives or a child and an adult, although itâs a little different from nose kisses so most Canadians call it ââInuit kissââ and Iâve heard other people call it ââbunny kissesââ. Either way thereâs no excuse to use ââeskimoââ in this context or another.

Back pain? Have you tried:
Ok but as a dysphoric trans man the whole âyou need dysphoria to be transâ actually baffles me because even tho Iâve always had severe dysphoria, it didnât actually help me figure out my gender at all. I usually dismissed my dysphoria as âinternalized misogynyâ or just not being feminine enough, which actually just caused me worse dysphoria.
You know what made me figure out that Iâm trans though? Gender euphoria. The minute I got called a âsirâ is the moment that I realized, âshit this feels right.â And at that point I realized that I could no longer deny the fact that Iâm not a woman and that I couldnât keep living as one.
Hereâs a hot take: maybe being trans isnât so much about how uncomfortable you can be in your DGAB, but rather how much more comfortable you can be.
Trans woman chiming in to second this.
I was dysphoric since at least the onset of puberty, but it took me until age 36 to realize I was trans, and it wasnât the dysphoria that made me realize it. I even knew that what I felt sounded exactly like what dysphoric trans people described. But I dismissed it as self-loathing, depression, unhappiness with my body type.
And just like OP, the dysphoria isnât how I realized I was trans. That feeling of âthis is right, this is what I wantâ is how I realized I was trans. The realization that wanting to be trans and being trans are the same thing. Only then did it become clear. Only then was I able to start transitioning. And only then did my dysphoria begin to break.
