How do you all do that?! No hate, but I can’t imagine only knowing someone for such a short time before getting married. Like I have a prerequisite to marriage which is that we must have been dating for at least 4 years before engagement is even on the table for consideration.

I saw something on tv the other day about how the 50s basically ushered in a sort of new way to make women more pasive . Up until the end of WW2 women were doing hard labor and were becoming more independent then when all the men came back from war all these advertising agencies ( exactly like mad men ) were involved in making women more docile and it turned into basically this giant massive brainwashing experiment that worked for a little while . Women went from what you see above to becoming what we call the Susie homemaker stereotypes . They quit their jobs and stayed home and waited on their husbands all day . Don’t ever let people tell you that all these advertising companies can’t influence society because it’s exactly what they get paid to do . When some say tv and radio brainwashes people they mean it .
