Who do you think you are?
The hand in this week for graduate development has concluded of a series of tests in order to find out what personality you are within a corporate sense. Many tests such as the Myers-Briggs test enables the user to take a quiz and based upon the results see a breakdown of who you actually are. Apparently I have the personality of an ENTJ, focused and work driven. Have a go and take the test yourself.

Jumping into the ocean that is web design
When thinking of web design what does the typical web user think of? Is it the background colour? The content? Or is it the layout? Possibly it's all 3 and even more.
However, now look from a developer's point of view. There are so many tools at disposal, an unlimited amount of opportunities and ideas are available to the world wide web.
The first process of web design is planning and prototyping. At the end of the day the developer wants to create a user interface that is easy to use but also looks good and works intelligently. From personal expierence the ideas come from either a sudden realisation, a flash of brilliance or days, weeks or months of careful element integration that is built on a mountain of layers.
And of course at the time web trends can change at the blink of an eye. I stumbled across a website the other day that still uses gradients! It wasn't a subtle transition either. There are so many factors that can alter how a design looks or functions.
Luckily however, there are a number of tools available to a web developer, front and back end. The inclusion of HTML5 and CSS3 have come on in leaps and bounds allowing the content to be displayed sublimely on the users screen. Then there's the other languages such as JavaScript, PHP, JQuery, I could go on and on. The message is this...
There is no excuse for what a developer can or can't create. Use the tools, use your brain and use your vision and who knows you could create a masterpiece.
People who are really serious about software should make their own hardware.
