Is there sun in the ground?

Do the people in the ground have the concept of sun? Can they see it? I don't remember if anyone referred to it. The sky mostly seens darkened, though sometimes it is as light as afternoon. I was thinking, do they see the sunrises and sunsets but not throughout the day, maybe? Idk. I was thinking of writing a fic, which sparkled that question for me
