@0rainy0muses0 asked: { Hikage to Daigoro } He gently takes one of the man’s hands and just holds it in his own. “I’m so happy to see you again, Daigoro. I never thought I would get the chance.”
There’s a warm chuckle that leaves the man’s lips as he watches Hikage grab his hand and hold it. “I suppose the universe is full of surprises.”
He still has a bit of a hard time wrapping his head around all of this, especially the way everyone seems to have been brought back and somehow be alive around the same time. But he’s not complaining one bit. Quite the opposite, actually. Getting to reunite with En was nice, the boy still just as moody and grumpy when receiving one of Daigoro’s classic bear hugs. Meeting the others who held ofa was wonderful too. So many different personalities!
But, most of all, he’s glad to see Hikage again. He’s not quite sure when exactly he started to remember his previous life. It happened out of nowhere. At some point he just did… and he’s happy about that. It’s good that the other man has his memories too. Oh, what would they have done if one of them didn’t have them (Yoichi might have an answer for that one, sir) or maybe both of them!
Finally, his gaze moves away from their hands and towards the other’s face.
“I’m happy to see you again too. We’ve got a lot of catching up to do. Still living the same lifestyle as back then, I imagine?”
He’d taken Daigoro’s hand on an impulse, a desire for physical connection to one of the few people who don’t instantly activate his Danger Sense in one way or another. Without One for All, it’s not nearly as bad as the first time he met the Fifth. Back then, when Hifumi passed it on, it elevated his quirk so much that EVERYTHING felt dangerous to him.
It took ages to make that stop, to feel somewhat normal with a combination of isolation, meditation, and anxiety medication procured by less than legal means. Daigoro has always felt like a campfire; warm against his skin in a way that reminds him of summer evenings and the sound of cicadas.
And he’s just...going to take his hand back slowly, clearing his throat and averting his gaze from Daigoro. Personal space is a thing, people like personal space. Even someone as friendly as Dai likes personal space...sometimes, he thinks. A very touchy-feely guy. Oh, right, question!
“Yes, once I gained the memories of my past life, I made arrangements and returned to the forests. I had nothing holding me back and I just...” His hands make a fluttering motion, face twisting into an expression between disgust and discomfort. “I still really can’t stand big cities, or small towns, or people...besides a few.”
