Em entrevista à Folha, jovem de 16 anos diz não se arrepender dos assassinatos. (October 11, 2008)
FOLHA - Você matou as três pessoas? ( Did you kiłł the three people? )
FOLHA - Por que decidiu matá-las? (Why did you decide to kill them?)
Dyonathan - Pelo que elas me falavam. Elas respondiam a algumas perguntas, como qual a idade em que tinham perdido a virgindade, qual a opção sexual. ( Because of what they told me. They answered some questions, like at what age they lost their virginity, what their sexual orientation was. )
FOLHA - Quando passou pela sua cabeça pela primeira vez matar uma pessoa? (When did you first think about killing someone?)
Dyonathan - Eu não tinha saído com a intenção de matar a primeira vítima. Depois da primeira eu tomei gosto. ( I didn’t go out with the intention of kiłłing the first victim. After the first one, I got a taste for it. )
FOLHA - Por que então matou a primeira? (Then why did you kill the first one?)
Dyonathan - Ele se dizia cristão, mas era gay, por isso. (He claimed to be Christian, but he was gay, that’s why.)
FOLHA - Os três corpos foram encontrados da mesma maneira, dispostos em formato de cruz. Por que você os deixou dessa forma? (The three bodies were found arranged in the same way, in the shape of a cross. Why did you leave them like that?)
Dyonathan - Os três se diziam cristãos, falsos cristãos.(All three claimed to be Christians — false Christians.)
FOLHA - Você está arrependido? (Do you regret it?)
FOLHA - A polícia encontrou uma lista em sua casa com alguns nomes. O que era? (The police found a list with some names in your house. What was it?)
ADOLESCENTE - Nomes de pessoas que tinha abordado na rua. ( Names of people I had approached on the street.)
FOLHA - Em sua casa foram encontradas fotografias do “maníaco do parque”. Qual o motivo de você guardá-las? (Photos of the “Park Maniac” (Francisco de Assis Pereira) were found in your house. Why did you keep them?)
ADOLESCENTE - Eu queria superá-lo. Até a terceira morte eu queria superá-lo. Mas depois não quis mais, porque deu muita repercussão. ( I wanted to surpass him. Up until the third murder I wanted to surpass him. But after that I didn’t want to anymore, because it got too much media attention. )
“O Maníaco do Parque” - Francisco de Assis Pereira: Brazilian sęriąl killer and rąpişt. Nicknamed the “Park Maniac,” he was active in 1997–1998 in São Paulo’s Parque do Estado. He lured young women (often aspiring models) by promising modeling opportunities, then took them to the park where he rąpęd and strąnględ them. He was convicted of mųrdęring 11 women and ąşşąųlting others, receiving a sentence of 268 years in prison.
FOLHA - Você acompanhava a repercussão dos crimes na imprensa? (Did you follow the media coverage of the crimes?)
Dyonathan - Sim, de alguma maneira falavam de mim. ( Yes, in some way they were talking about me.)
FOLHA - Você estuda? (Do you study?)
ADOLESCENTE - Estudava. Cursava o nono ano. Parei depois que matei a primeira vítima. (I did. I was in the 9th grade. I stopped after I killed the first victim.)
