@shootingfornohand: “Oi, Cae, could'ya hand me my-” Uther said as he began to turn to the other ginger, meaning to ask for his wooden spoon sitting on his desk. Mixing potions in his room against, nothing bad, just practicing. Before he could get the question out though, his lips met another. ~~~ Caerwyn wasn't really one for romance in media. They always reminded him of what his father would force upon him eventually: a wife. But there was one thing that stuck with him, from a dumb show he and Haakon watched when he was younger, where the boy kissed the girl in chemistry class and the music swelled and it was just breathtaking. He also remembered Haakon making fun of how cheesy it was. As fate would have it, this day was like that scene. It was amazing; he could remember the girl asking the boy for something too after the boy was staring longly at her (which Caerwyn may or may not have been doing). He didn't exactly mean to lean in and kiss Uther, but nothing else felt right to do at that moment, not even breathing. But he didn't exactly regret it. He kept his eyes shut, his body shaking slightly with excitement.

Caerwyn just wept for a while. He needed to; he needed to cry. And when he began to calm down, he felt better.

He looked to his brother, wiping his eyes with one hand as he moved to touch Haakon’s face with the other. “Are you real…?”

“I’m as real as you want me to be.” He stands and walks back to the bed before gesturing Caerwyn to come sit with him. “Did they tell you what happened?”

He moved over to the bed, sitting next to Haakon. He sniffled a little, swinging his legs.

"They told me... you drowned... They couldn't save you..." He looked over. "Did it hurt...? Do you still hurt...?"
