You've lost your way on horse back. It's late. You swear you hear wolves howling in the distance. But you must remain calm for yourself and your horse's sake.
The night is freezing. The air itself seems to be biting at your tired eyes and trembling hands.
Up ahead, you see a figure on horseback. You call out in a plea for help, just to guide back to the main road.
The figure doesn't say anything. He only waves you to follow. Your horse quickly follows behind the pitch black steed.
Your journey is quiet. Almost.. too quiet. No longer do you hear the distant howls. Not even the howls of wind. Not a single creature dares to raise its voice.
The main road appears past some trees. You quickly usher your horse ahead. You turn to thank the stranger.. only to see them headless.
Startled, you feel yourself stiffen. All the headless stranger does is.. pretend to tilt a hat to you.
It makes the shock settle as a snicker slipped from you.
Your horse turns and walks towards the town. Your gaze is still on the headless stranger as he turns his horse to the woods.
Completely silent.. You may see them yet again, if you find yourself lost.
