beidou always throws the best parties on campus.
everyone knows her—freshmen, juniors, seniors, exchange students, athletes—somehow they all know who she is. personally for you, you do know her name but you haven’t seen her since you transferred.
you’re in your senior years! (so was she) is teyvat university really that big for you to not see her at all while everyone around you is gushing over her almost every day?
so, that’s why you came up with a bucket list:
> find out who the famous beidou is <
and luckily for you, your friend yinxing happened to be invited to a party that beidou was hosting tonight. she said, “if you want to learn more about beidou, tonight’s your chance!” you looked at her like you couldn’t believe what she wants you to do right now, knowing you have an exam tomorrow.
can’t she just send you a picture of beidou? surely she has socials? you asked her this, only for her reply to be, “wait! don’t search her up just yet! you have to see her in person first i swear!”
you should really be studying right now for the love of archons! instead, you put on your best outfit, did your hair and makeup, and put on your best shoes. yinxin told you she’ll pick you up at your dorm. suddenly, as the time of the party got closer and closer, you were starting to feel nervous and excited about meeting the famous beidou.
“girl you look delish!” yinxin shouted as soon as you opened the door to the shotgun seat. you rolled your eyes teasingly at her. as if she wasn’t looking pretty herself!
on the way to the party, yinxin informed you it was a house party. there are a bunch of people mingling with each other—freshmen, juniors, seniors—you name it! trust that they’re all there. you can play games with them, but always remember to stay smart about everything because the dares usually ends up with one of them in your pants (so be careful!). there will also be alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages (obvi) but please drink wisely.
“got it?” she briefly looked at you from her side. she sensed you were nervous so she wanted to brief you about everything because beidou’s parties? not for the weak.
“yeah, i got it. thank you yin, you’re the best!” you pouted and clinged to her arm which earned a laugh from her.
beidou’s house was gigantic! like a ship meant to set sail around the world like they did in one piece. you were clearly overwhelmed, every room of the house was lit up and music from the inside boomed from the outside.
you were starting to feel like this was a bad idea, but you didn’t want to bother yinxin with the hassle of taking you back home. besides, you were already standing outside of the house. the only thing left to do was go inside.
the inside of her house was elegance mixed with masculinity. you couldn’t describe how it precisely looked like, but it felt cozy and rustic. without knowing who beidou is or what she looked like, you imagined her to be broad-shouldered and masculine, but still carries herself with femininity.
you held onto your imagined version of her as you scanned the room for any faces that matched it. yinxin held your hand and guided you to where the drinks were. she was also scanning the room, seemed like she’s looking for someone.
“who’re you looking for?” you decided to ask your pre-occupied friend while you get some drinks.
“hypothetically, if i were to leave you here, would you hate me?”
“uhmm..” you thought for a second, “..no? why? where are you going?” you handed her her drink and you took a sip of yours, waiting for your friend to respond. you had no problem with her leaving you alone. it’s a party! everyone’s supposed to be letting loose and do their own definitions of fun.
you just wanted to know where she was headed so you know where to find her just in case.
“juza. over there..” she pointed at the long couch where a man in jeans and a white sleeveless shirt sat. you knew juza, but you didn’t know your friend had a crush on him. she didn’t want to leave you at first, but you insisted. she mouthed a ‘thank you’ then marched her way to him.
now that you were left alone, you figured a little exploring can’t hurt. so from beidou’s home bar, you found your way roaming around like a lost puppy. you barely made it to the foot of the stairs before an arm slung itself casually around your shoulders, stopping you in your tracks.
“there you are!”
a woman spoke with a low, velvety timbre that seemed permanently touched by amusement. you were supposed to feel scared considering you didn’t know who this woman was, but instead you felt.. butterflies?!
“do i.. know you?” you asked, unsure if you were being rude or not. maybe you had forgotten who she was?
“hmm..” she seemed to think, “i don’t know.. do you?”
you shook your head from side to side. she responded with a deep, quiet laugh, her breath ghosting across your ear as she leaned in. the closeness was enough to send warmth creeping into your cheeks.
“who knows? maybe it’s better that way.” she slipped her arm from your shoulders and gently turned you to face her. up close, she was even more striking. tall and effortlessly beautiful, she wore her dark brown hair loose, its glossy strands catching the colorful lights like silk as it covered her left eye.
you fake coughed when you caught yourself staring at her. “what do you need me for?” you decided to ask.
she shrugged, “been looking for someone to challenge me in beer pong.”
but you didn’t know anything about beer pong..
the woman in front of you seemed to have read your mind, “don’t worry! we’ll explain the rules if you’re up for it.”
how could you say no when she was looking at you like you were the most interesting person in the whole room. and that’s when it hit you—she’s a flirt. and you have to be careful as yinxin said.
you agreed. she told you to follow her in the game room, her friends already being there. the game room was spacious and held different kinds of table games and sports game balls. the owner of this house must be insanely rich, you thought to yourself.
the rules of beer pong were simple: sink the ball into your opponent’s cups, and they’d have to drink from the one you landed in. and the winner prize?
“i know a great prize for the winner!” the girl in braids spoke, eyeing each and every one of us for suspense. you were getting nervous because what if the prize was something crazy like a hundred dollars? what you didn’t know was that the prize was far more better than a hundred dollars.
“seven minutes in heaven with the host!” she screamed and everyone (except you) was riled up, saying that it was doable and a great idea. you weren’t a freak, of course not! but your plan presented itself to you without doing anything and you weren’t going to give up the chance of seeing this beidou character in person!
you weren’t really thinking about what happens behind closed doors playing seven minutes in heaven. you just wanted to win and finally get over the only item on bucket list.
long story short—you won. fair and square. the woman beside you looked at the final cup with the ball you threw so perfectly, it was floating on top.
your teammates cheered for you. their squeals were enough for you to look like it hurt your eardrums. one second you were happy, now you were beyond nervous when they all smirked at you and led you to a room that connected to the game room you were in. they told you to wait for your ‘prize’.
the room looked neat like it was well-kept and cleaned every single day. and somehow, that made your heart beat louder and faster than it already did.
the door suddenly opened and you were faced with.. hold on a minute—
“you’re beidou?!”
you couldn’t believe it. then, you remembered—broad-shouldered and masculine, but still carries herself with femininity.
shit.
“expecting someone else?” she laughed when she saw how surprised you looked.
“yes, actually. i didn’t know you were the famous beidou!”
“well..” she stepped closer to you after she locked the door behind her, “would you have preferred someone else?”
there she goes again! with her voice that was enough to make your panties fall down to your knees. not to mention she was wearing a black sleeveless shirt matching her red shorts—she looked absolutely beautiful. the kind of beautiful you only see on tv.
she leaned more—your faces were almost already touching. she smelled like a mix of alcohol and perfume. you closed your eyes bracing for the.. impact? you really didn’t know what was going to happen at the moment, but you thought it would be something like lips touching or something.
for a while, there were nothing but silence surrounding the room. then, she laughed and teasingly flicked your forehead. you opened your eyes and immediately got embarrassed. now you just look like a pervert, you thought.
“i don’t see you in parties often. this your first time?” she sat on the bed behind you and patted it urging you to sit down with her. you refused, suddenly becoming wary as you remembered your friend’s word about being smart.
“this isn’t my first time.”
beidou’s eyebrows arched upwards—like she didn’t believe a word you were telling her right now—but she nodded.
“do you know how seven minutes in heaven work?” she asked quizzically.
you hesitated, thinking of a lie to seem cool. but you went for the more honest answer you could think of.
“unfortunately, no..”
beidou laughed a bit, “how is it unfortunate?”
“i-it just sounds like a fun game..”
beidou explained to you how the game works. suddenly your teammates’ giggly reactions earlier made sense to you. you couldn’t help but hide your face in your palms in embarrassment.
“it’s alright if you don’t want to do anything! don’t worry, alright?”
well the thing was..
you actually wanted to do it. with her.
curiosity got the best of you and beidou could see it in your face as you looked at her, biting your lip.
beidou smirked, thought you looked cute.
“can we?” you asked for her permission.
“c’mere.”
that was all she had to say as you sat on her lap, then kissed her lips feverishly. her hands trailed on your hips, then your back, up to your neck as she deepened the kiss. she held you gently, like you were a piece of paper she didn’t want to crumple.
you broke the kiss to catch your breath. the room suddenly felt warmer and the next thing you knew, you were taking your shirt off leaving only your bra.
beidou couldn’t help but to stare at your perfect body. let’s be honest, everything about you was perfect in her eyes. it was the first time she felt like this and she couldn’t get enough of it—of you.
“you’re beautiful.” she said in a rather raspy voice, as she devoured your neck down to your collarbone, leaving marks on your soft skin.
(you left the party sore all over your body, hair disheveled, and a number on your arm beidou wrote with a pen nearby before letting you slip away from her grasp.)
arlecchino was hard to please. everyone knows that.
as a part of the university committee, she was booked and busy balancing her studies and her responsibilities as the senior representative.
she’s very particular when it comes to how she spends her time. and coming to the senior party held by yours truly seems like a waste of time.
you both knew each other. i mean, how could you not when you’re together in almost every single one of your minor classes?
however, even though arlecchino was cold and detached to everyone, you weren’t about to give up in making her come and enjoy your party.
a competition had been sweeping across campus for weeks:
WHO COULD THROW A PARTY WORTHY OF SENIOR REP ARLECCHINO’S TIME?
no one knew how it started, but before long, every club, organization, and social circle seemed determined to outdo the others, all chasing the same goal—to host the one party she’d actually enjoy.
arlecchino thought it was ridiculous. you thought it was challenging.
and you were never one to back down on a challenge. so, you gathered enough materials with the help of your friends and started decorating your house. and with the help of your friends in the university committee, you asked them to persuade the senior representative to go to your party.
it was a cold night and your guests were arriving in groups, one by one you greeted them with a smile on your face. the party was full of laughter, games, good music, and good food.
now, all you have to do is wait for her, determined to win and make her experience the best time of her life!
and just as you were about to refill your drink, the front door opened and it was arlecchino in a black leather jacket and black cargo pants.
she made her way to a single couch, easing into the seat and placed her motorcycle helmet on the nearby table before settling back.
the only issue was..
she looked absolutely bored.
“oh shit! isn’t that our senior rep?” your friend, yelan, whispered in your ear the moment she saw her.
“i win.” you looked at your friend with prideful eyes and winked. you knew this party would be a success! no one’s ever and i mean ever missed one of your parties. it was the talk of the town.
“not to burst your bubble or anything, but aren’t you supposed to make her have a good time? from the looks of it, she’ll probably slip out and go home once her friends are pre-occupied.”
you almost believed what yelan said when you saw arlecchino geting up in her seat. but you smiled when she left her leather jacket on the couch, claiming her seat.
“trust me, we’ll have fun.”
you wandered over to where she was sitting, picked up her jacket, and shrugged it on without a second thought, wearing it as if it were your own. spotting the drink another girl had given her moments earlier, you took a sip from the glass.
an unmistakably fake cough echoed beside you.
someone, apparently, wanted your attention.
your eyes glanced up, making immediate eye contact with a girl with white and black hair. she was leaning on the frame of the wall as she crossed her arms to her chest, somewhat amused at your sudden appearance on her seat.
“comfortable?” she asked, without sounding angry, though sounded sarcastic.
you leaned back on the couch, still staring at her. “i am.”
arlecchino knew of your reputation. the girl who likes to toy with people—a massive heartbreaker. there was one time she saw a girl crying in the bathroom because ‘(name) blocked me!’ or ‘i really love (name)! she said it was a one time thing and i just—’ (cue the loudest cry ever as her friends tried to calm her down).
ever since, she was always watching you. not in a creepy way, but in an observing manner. she knew you were a flirt—it was your forte. you were trouble and she didn’t want anything to do with you.
until today..
you were too pretty for your own good in her leather jacket, arlecchino didn’t even want to retrieve it back from you. this is bad, she thought. really really bad.
unfortunately, the same as you, arlecchino was competitive. she wasn’t going to be easily swayed by someone, especially not by a playgirl like you. she figured she’d have fun tonight for once.
a soft laugh escaped her as she slowly crouched in front of you, taking her time as her eyes swept over your borrowed outfit. “it fits you,” she murmured.
your breath hitched, suddenly all too aware of how close she was. “yeah?” you smirked, clearly getting excited about this—whatever this was for the both of you. “wanna know what else would fit me?”
your teasing earned a subtle clench of her jaw, accompanied by the ghost of a smile.
so that was your game?
well, she wasn’t about to back down. if you wanted to test her patience, she’d indulge you—for now. it wasn’t as if she had anywhere else to be.
arlecchino was far from stupid. she knew you were doing this because of the challenge going around the campus, but just how far would you go to please her? she almost felt pride swelling in her chest—that you were doing all this for her.
“how about you show me?”
she wanted to see you flustered. but that’s not happening anytime soon because you were enjoying her presence, her banters, her flirting. oh archons..
you held her gaze for another moment before rising to your feet. she followed suit without a word.
“but there’s no thrill in that,” you protested with a playful pout.
the sight drew the faintest smile from her. she found you unbearably adorable, though she’d never admit it out loud. closing the distance, you slipped your arms around her neck. you could smell your perfume with how close you were to each other.
it felt like it was just you two. the rest of the party seemed to fade into the background.
for the briefest moment, you managed to catch her off guard. the surprise was subtle, gone before anyone else could have noticed. she composed herself quickly, her hand settling lightly at your waist.
“what if we played a game?” she asked, amusement softening her voice as she humored your little challenge.
“what game?”
“seven minutes in heaven.” she whispered in your ear, her voice laced with playfulness. you couldn’t tell if she was being serious or not.
“the arlecchino playing seven minutes in heaven with little me?”
“are you backing out on your own games?”
you let out a disbelieving scoff at the sheer seriousness of her expression. with a small tilt of your head, you reached up and traced your index finger from her jaw to the base of her throat, watching carefully for any reaction.
you felt the way she gulped softly when you reached her throat, making you chuckle.
“i wouldn’t want to disappoint..”
you took her to your bedroom.
arlecchino’s kisses were harsh—the kind you’ve never received from anyone before. you were used to always being the one who takes the initiative to these kinds of things. but with arlecchino? you didn’t stand a chance to take control.
and you liked it.
she cupped both of your cheeks with one hand as she kissed your lips relentlessly. her other hand reached for the hem of your outfit.
“don’t take it off.” she breathlessly referred to the leather jacket you took off.
“you like it on me that much?”
“i love it, (name)..”
(the next day both of your names spread like wildfire around campus. your previous hookups were mad as fuck, but neither of you cared when whatever was going on with you two became a weekly thing. oh and, she let you keep the leather jacket.)

Hi Lohen, sorry darling I don't think I'll be able to get you home, unless you came home early? 👉🏻👈🏻..
Anyways, brainrot. No, I have not played the AQ where I meet him, so this is all purely brainrot because of the trailers.
Lohen would literally kill for you, all you gotta do is just spat out their name and add please, and next thing you knew you'll have their head— Just kidding, though he would kill for you, happily even.
Lohen is VERY posessive. So don't even think about it. Or do, because why not, right?
Lohen loves to tease you with the tip of his weapon, seeing you tremble simply arouses him, but he would NEVER hurt you. No.
Lohen is also VERY obsessive. As if it is not obvious enough.
Lohen may be average height but he would love to have you on his lap.
Lohen plays with your hair, either twirling it around his finger, or kissing the tip of your hair.
Lohen would slowly wrap his hand around your neck to put your bratty self in place while smiling oh so innocently at you.
Lohen love to stare at you, he stares and smiles. Eyes full of love and obsession, he would never let you go.
Lohen is touchy, very touchy.
Lohen is the type to grab your chin and tilt your face towards him when you talk with him, he want your eyes on him, not on whatever you're working on when you talk with him.
Lohen loves it when you help him clean up, especially when you help wipe the ... red paint, off him. He would simply sit there and watch you, and if your hand ever trembles, he'll gently grab it and lead it to his body. Smiling mischievously.
Lohen would definitely make a duplicate of his earring and gave it to you.
Lohen is absolutely thriving in your embarrassed state, and would definitely make you blush even more in various ways.
isn’t that your ex?.. ✿ wanderer x gn!reader (work!au)
㌗ ────⠀synopsis: exes reunited again 8 years after graduation. only this time, a lot has changed. for good.
not proofread. angst (bittersweet ending). exes to friends.
part 1 • part 2 • part 3 (end)
“after years of studying the outcomes of violence, addiction, and abuse, do you believe people can truly change? no matter how cruel they may have been?”
“and to whom is this question for, dr. zandik?”
“ahh yes! my apologies, the question is for dr. wanderer.”
wanderer smiled at the question his colleague posed. seated beneath the bright stage lights, he rested one ankle over the opposite knee and glanced out at the audience. the two-hour conference centered on the psychological consequences of violence, addiction, and abuse in both men and women—subjects his team had spent years researching. there was a familiar comfort in discussing work he knew so well.
he accepted the mic the staff gave him with a ‘thank you’, then adjusted his seat into a more comfortable position before answering the question.
“thank you for your question. i want to answer this question with a simple ‘yes’. allow me to elaborate: in medicine, we’re often confronted with individuals who are at their worst. we see the consequences of poor decisions, self-destructive habits, violence, and suffering. if we believed people were incapable of change, much of what we do would be meaningless.”
the audience nodded, some took notes, and some were talking about the matter with their table mates.
“recovery itself is built upon the assumption that change is possible. sure, it is not guaranteed nor easy, and certainly not immediate. but it is possible.”
“i think people often misunderstand what change looks like. they expect it to be dramatic. a single moment that transforms someone into a better person. it isn’t magic. in reality, change is naturally slow. it’s uncomfortable, repetitive, and sometimes invisible to everyone except the individual trying to do it. it takes years for a lot people.”
“some days you succeed, some days you fail and go back to your own ways. when the latter happens though, it is up to you whether you want to give up or give yourself grace to move forward.”
“changing is not to say that their past will be eradicated and forgotten. many of these changed individuals have hurt countless of people in their past, and so the consequences of their actions will remain. what changes is the choice a person makes afterward.”
“i think what i want everyone to remember and take by heart is that: an individual’s worst moment or actions may explain them, but it should not necessarily define the rest of their life. thank you!”
the audience erupted into applause as he finished speaking. you found yourself clapping along with everyone else, unable to stop the small smile tugging at your lips. watching him now, it was hard not to be impressed.
he himself has changed so much.
the man seated on that stage was a far cry from the one you’d last seen nine years ago at your friend’s party. there was a quiet confidence about him now, a sense of maturity that hadn’t been there before. as the applause echoed through the hall, you couldn’t help but think about just how much he’d grown since your last meeting.
after some more q & a sessions from his esteemed colleagues and acquaintances, the night was filled with the chattering of the guests, making connections, perhaps. and some were already digging into the food provided at the buffet. you were starving yourself, but waited for a few minutes before you decided to join the line of people picking their dishes.
the menu includes pasta, rice, seafood, vegan options, lactose-intolerant options, desserts, and more. they also offer drinks at the end of the buffet table if you would like to have a little spice to your night as you mingle with the others. what caught your eye, though, was the large variety of fizzy sodas placed in a basket full of ice to keep it cold and refreshing.
you can’t help but feel touched. no doubt that there’s only one of them who thought about including those drinks because people weren’t paying much attention to them as they all went for light liquors.
after spending most of the day seated, you decided to stand by one of the high tables while you ate, grateful for the chance to stretch your legs and ease the stiffness settling into your lower back.
you had barely taken a few bites when you felt a light tap on your shoulder. you already knew who it was. you turned around and came face to face with smiling, rather dashing man in a white long coat, he was wearing an oversized cream sweater that softened his otherwise sharp appearance, his loose sleeves were folded neatly underneath, his glasses framed a face that, despite the passing years, had somehow managed to keep its youthful glow.
“i didn’t expect for you to be here. thank you for coming, (name). it means a lot.” he said gently smiling as he offered a handshake to you.
you looked at him, his hand, then at him again. you laughed lightly and went in for hug instead of a mere handshake.
“we haven’t seen each other again for years, wanderer. and you’re offering me a handshake?” you said, both your smiles not leaving your faces.
“i apologize. i didn’t know if you would be comfortable with anything else..”
“oh, please! don’t go formal on me now! it’s not like we haven’t seen each other naked before.”
he laughed at that and shook his head ‘no’. you offered your food to him, asking if he was hungry after the long conference presentation, which ended to him declining and said that he’ll have his fill after the event. “suit yourself!” you said, as you drank your fizzy soda.
“i’m glad you still like those. the soda, i mean.”
you nodded almost immediately, “dude, of course! i don’t think that’ll change anytime soon.”
“that’s good. i had my team pitch it in for the buffet.”
“no wonder you sent me invitation letters for years at my workplace!” you teased him, which earned you a small blush creeping through his face.
it’s true. wanderer sent you multiple invitation letters since his team started working on their research. they worked on it for 4 years and a half, ensuring its feasibility and reliability. so, imagine the amount of letters you received and kept in a big box?
at first you were skeptical about going. but over the years, you had changed and you were certain that he did too. only this time, you both knew you’d outgrown each other.
“do you remember when we used to talk about our future?”
wanderer was nervous. not because you still have that effect on him, but because he didn’t know how you’d react to everything that he’s saying. though, after that hug he eased up a bit knowing you were genuinely happy to see him as much as he was.
in his defense, he sent you the letters nonstop because, “yeah. how could i ever forget about it when we’re already living the dreams we talked about?”
sure, your relationship was built on constant fighting and miscommunication, but were also moments that were worth treasuring.
you had talked about how you’ll both be stable in life, traveling the world, and living the best life the world could offer. and in those conversations, you had talked about wanting to see each other succeed—that he will someday achieve his dream of working on a research paper to be published all around the world, and you’d do whatever it is that makes you happy.
after a long silence and reminiscing of the past, he spoke again.
“do you miss our relationship?”
he looked at you as you were deep in thought about his question.
“hmm.. i miss the good parts of it, yes. i absolutely don’t miss the bad parts!” you both laughed.
you asked him the same question.
“i miss it, too.”
silence engulfed the both of you as you two stared at each other with smiles on your faces.
you both knew that there was no going back. no erasing of what happened. and certainly no justifying the actions that hurt you and him.
and you had long made peace with that. the world has changed, and so did you. that’s what’s important.
“me and mona.. we’re truly just friends.”
“i know..”
“she has a girlfriend at the time.”
“i know that, too..”
you told him mona reached out to you for a coffee date, just the two of you back then after graduation. she said she wanted to clear up what happened with you and wanderer, and how she was clueless that she was the main reason for your breakup until wanderer crashed out on her, sobbing violently and rambling on about what happened.
mona felt extremely guilty and hurt for the both of you. she explained that wanderer didn’t tell you she was with a girl back then was because mona and her girlfriend weren’t out to their parents yet and wanted to keep it a secret to everyone until they’re ready. only wanderer knew about it because he saw mona kissing a girl one time under the bleachers.
she said sorry on behalf of wanderer because she was the one who told him not to tell anyone—even you.
you told her it was alright. the past is in the past. we can’t do anything about it, but to move forward. she was never the problem in your opinion. it was you and wanderer avoiding communication and letting assumptions get the best of you.
you were happy for mona of course!
especially, that day after the conversation when she handed you an invitation letter to her wedding.
“she’s getting married next month, too! i’m happy for her and her fiancé.” you told him you didn’t know what to bring as a gift and asked for advice. he told you something about gems and crystals, which mona and girlfriend really liked at the time.
you two were having the best of times talking to each other when suddenly the topic shifted from mona, to weddings, and finally, to your relationship statuses.
“are you seeing anyone?”
his question would’ve made you think he’s testing the waters, if it weren’t for the fact that he’s wearing a ring on his finger finger.
and so were you.
you jokingly rolled your eyes then excitedly showed him the ring you were wearing. “fiancé!~” you exclaimed wiggling your fingers.
it was the ring he knew you always wanted, but never gave.
wanderer could see the sparkle in your eyes—one he once had the privilege of seeing every single day. your happiness radiated through every part of you. and for once he didn’t felt bitter. he was genuinely happy for you that you had found happiness, even if it wasn’t with him.
“what about you?” you asked back, “i see that ring on your finger.”
you took his hand when he fell silent. you wanted to see his ring, too! he watched as you carefully examined it, his hand resting on yours. he took his hand back carefully when you were done.
“who’s the lucky one?” you nudged his side with your elbow.
“you first.” he countered. you squint your eyes at him then agreed
“who’s the lucky one?” you asked, nudging his side with your elbow.
“you first,” he countered without missing a beat.
you narrowed your eyes at him, immediately recognizing the tactic. “seriously?”
a faint smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
with a quiet huff, you relented. “fine. i’ll go first.”
“sooo, you know that friend group we used to make fun of?”
he nodded slowly, seeing where this was going. of course he knew! you two were still in high school at the time, known to be a duo in mischief, when a group of friends who share the same love for nerdy stuff came to your school. he made fun of them, and so did you.
later on in your high school years, you realized you were being hypocritical because you two were just as big of a nerd as that friend group. then you urged wanderer to also say sorry for being such a dick.
they were surprisingly nice.
especially, lohen.
i mean, at the time he was all about revenge and stuff. but you know deep down that he’s a good kid. you used to hang out with him every single day with wanderer. inseparable friends, really. he would always give the meals his father made for him and you had to scold him because he was not eating (he’s giving it all to you).
college happened and he moved out with a friend’s family member when his father died.
“lohen?” wanderer’s eyes widened at the revelation. who would’ve expected?
then again, he was always jealous of the teal haired guy for taking your attention. he didn’t want lohen to move out, but at the time, he was happy.
but you’ve always had feelings for wanderer. even with lohen in the picture—this, he didn’t know. even now.
you nodded. “well? what about you?”
“it’s—”
“there you are. ‘was looking everywhere for you, bun.”
you both looked at the owner of the voice. it was him.
“i got hungry so i went to the buffet. i got you your fave, too!”
lohen smiled and muttered a ‘thank you’. he only looking at you, as he patted your head.
then he turned to wanderer who smiled earnestly at him.
“dr. wanderer,” he greeted politely. “such a profound research! i’ve been working on a few projects as well. we could collaborate on it, you know? just like old times?”
“sure. i look forward to it. and thank you for coming.”
wanderer bid his farewell to the both of you.
what you didn’t know was that he was not engaged nor married. the ring was just that—a ring. a ring that held a sentimental value for him. the only catch was that you knew it was the ring you gave him on his birthday when you were in high school.
what you didn’t know was that he wasn’t engaged.
he wasn’t married, either.
the ring on his finger wasn’t a wedding band. It was simply a keepsake—one he’d held onto for reasons you never dared ask.
because you knew exactly what it was.
you had given it to him on his birthday when you were still in high school.
8 years later, he decided to wear it again. he seemed unaware that you’d recognized it immediately. perhaps he thought you’d forgotten. perhaps he hoped you had.
but you remembered.
you remembered picking it out. you remembered slipping the small box into his hands. you remembered the way he’d looked at you afterward.
you remembered everything. yet you kept your mouth shut. because some truths were better left between the two of you.
for both of your sakes, this was easier.

a/n: i wanted to mention that the reason why i didn’t make them endgame (only in good terms) because while i believe that everyone is capable of change, most of the time it’s better to just leave everything in the past and move forward. just because someone has changed, doesn’t mean you should get back with them 🥹 i love you guys! take care of yourselves! MWAAA !
honorable mentions — @kithewanderingme for the lohen endgame idea 😚 and everyone in the comments of part 1 and 2 !! 🥹 thank you so much for your support !! you guys motivate me a lot !! xoxo i hope you’ll like this one as well 🤍
"It's finee grandmaster varka." your irritating vice captain says through that dodoco communication device he found and took from jean's office. she allowed it beforehand of course, but this doesn't help you with facing an embarrassing punishment.
You move a bit from the place you're in on the floor but lohen sternly looks at you with the phone still in hand. both his legs are up and planted on your back while you stay in an "all fours" position. despite the humiliating position to be in you're at least grateful that captain lohen's office doors are always shut and the other knights wouldn't enter unless it's about something important.
"Yes, yes. No, they're with me. Uh huh.." he drawls into the phone while his foot nudged your back. You tilt your head to look at his expression only to find that smirk plastered on his face.
Damn it! your arms are starting to hurt!
Lohen finally ends the call and leaves the device on standby before he settles further into his lavish cushioned chair, placing both hands behind his head.
"C'mon quit squirming. It hasn't even been an hour yet." he sighs and plays with his silver dagger that rings around the center of his index finger. You could honestly agree that this punishment is not half as bad with how he usually deals with the other knights but the way his boots dig into the bones of your back and the vulnerable position you're in.. is absolute hell.
"C-captain..? Why was this the first thing that you thought of as punishment?" you groan and shake your head in disbelief. The floor beneath you is suddenly so interesting, you didn't want to look at him in the eye right now.
"Cushions don't talk." he counters and you knew he liked seeing you drop your head shamefully.
"No but.. seriously though.." you tried to adjust yourself but the thought of shimmying your butt is mortifying right now.
"I didn't even know the crates were going to fall!" Lohen tuts and nudged you again with his boot, a hand on his cheek as he mulled something over.
"You didn't know? ha.. my dear knight. You were recklessly stacking crate after crate on top of one another. You almost killed a kid." you flinch when he reminded you of your earlier actions and the consequences that could've in fact occured.
"You're lucky Ursula and Koch were there. The consequences that followed would've been.. much harsher for you," he chuckles and poked the tip of his boot on the soft part of your hip.
"You could've put me on horse shit duty instead." you say bluntly. He stops his movements and nudged you a little harder.
"..and put my favorite knight through hours of cleaning in this summer heat?" he gasps in faux disbelief, "this one seems better, right? you even got air conditioning! you're welcome."
"My back is beginning to hurt.." you mutter and the seconds ticked by felt like eternity.
Lohen hums unbothered and flaps a scroll to read down the lines, "That's the point. But... would it feel better if the punishment came with a reward?"
your ears perked at that and he felt the movements of your spine arch a little under his boots, "...Okay. And the catch?"
Lohen laughs, "You can't be serious. You haven't fulfilled an hour yet."
Tick.. tick .. tick..
"How's the breeze down there little knight?"
"Dusty."
"Excellent."
.
.
"It's been an hour and a half ... please I wanna pee."
"Then do it on the floor."
Your eyes widen and immediately tilted your head to stare at him in disbelief, "N-no way!"
Lohen sighs and removes his boots off of your back, stabbing his dagger into the wooden part of the table.
“Ehh, times up anyway. Make sure you turn your report in later, or your punishment will last for a week."
He sees you get up hesitantly and smiles when you blink like a scared animal, “got something to say little knight?”
You shake your head, still aching and embarrassed . “No sir.” But before you could leave he removes the dagger from the table and throws it opposite to where you stand
"Seems like you’re forgetting something, though."
You freeze in place and turned around slow, "w-what do you mean..?"
Lohen’s smile doesn’t waver even as he points to his cheek, "What do you think [name]?"
Your sweaty hands are bunched around your uniform and you walk forward until you approach his desk. with a slow lean you place a soft kiss on his cheek but your vice captain doesn’t like playing by rules so he turns his head to capture his mouth on yours instead.
after a few lazy nips to your bottom lip to seal the kiss while a solid grip stills your chin knowingly to stare straight into your eyes, "your reward for being good."
