May the Fouth be with you, my friends
i think neill druckmann got excited that ppl wanted to make his video game into a tv show as anyone would but had to let craig mazin do his thing and he was prob telling neill this is show business theyll love this and wen neill realized they ruined his shit and that he may not have control over cragis visioj for season 3 he said im just gonna politely kindly leave and let u guys do wut u want like whatever ppl still love the game and the show doesnt effect that in fact it prob made ppl love the game more since the show is diabolically bad and maybe felt bad for the actors so hes just letting them continue with their show
I agree. Their about to start filming. and honestly, the behind the scenes is the only thing I'm excited for. I'm not really excited about it, {right now.} and I'm especially not looking forward to the Abby and Owen scene.......Yeah, The real reason Kaitlyn was hired.....I believe.
To be fair, some of the writing in The Wrong Jedi arc does deserve some appreciation, though I waffle between "is this writing so nuanced and subtle that it's clever?" and "is this just bad?" I usually prefer giving the benefit of the doubt and hoping that it's just clever, as long as it's not dumb, which a lot of this arc is.
When I was younger, I vividly remember thinking, "wow, Ahsoka is going through it, she's just doing what she's gotta do!" Now though, it's so painfully obvious to me that she is NOT making good choices. She is reacting emotionally (specifically, according to her negative emotions of fear), mistrust has completely taken over, her old arrogance has popped up again. And all of that is understandable! She's spent the last two very formative years of her life on a series of battlefields and military operations. Her trust and optimism has been damaged, and it takes a headshot in these episodes. She's learned to see all of life according to the rules and logic of the battlefield. That's so sad! And if you're really paying attention, you can see this coming throughout previous arcs. She's getting tired (everyone is), she's becoming more emotional, more damaged. The war is catching up with her. As Anakin comments, "In many ways, she's still very young." What a tragic commentary on the effects of war on young, super-powered soldiers! Did they do a good enough job of portraying that? Is it better that young audience members start out being stuck in Ahsoka's pov, and as you get older, you start to see the story from outside her pov?
Which brings me to the Jedi Council. As much as I've always been a pro-Jedi fan, when I was younger, I really thought the Jedi Council was just being mean and stupid in this arc. Were they? One thing that completely went over my head until this last rewatch was the threats that are constantly being leveled against the Jedi, specifically from Tarkin (who always leans on the authority of the Senate and the Chancellor). They cannot catch a break! The public is turning against them, there are protests happening on their doorstep, civilians are aiding in terrorist attacks against the Jedi freaking temple! They are seriously considering that things could be so bad, a Jedi could have planned this terrorist attack. There is also increasing, much more veiled, but more serious, pressure coming from the Senate. Every time Tarkin speaks with the Jedi, he threatens that more of their power and say in this war (in which they are mandatory soldiers and leaders!) will be taken away if they don't give in and play along. He literally says that in the future, they'll be wanting the Jedi to participate in fewer military matters outside of the fighting. That places the Jedi in such a dangerous spot! To be leading the war effort and fighting on the frontlines, but having less and less say in decision making. Now they're having to keep an eye on politics just to figure out where they stand. Palpatine's plan is working like a charm.
Ahsoka is not aware of this. Doesn't make what happened to her less shitty, but it's a fact. She doesn't know that the council members are not getting enough sleep. That they are just trying to keep their heads above water as they try to keep the thousands of people whom they are responsible for (not to mention the clone army) from drowning too. The council made their decision, but they were not in agreement. I have so much more sympathy for them than I used to! They're trying to figure out if defending Ahsoka, if keeping her with them is worth jeopardizing everything they're keeping together with duct tape! This kind of impossible situation is exactly what Palpatine had in mind. The decision they end up making sucks, the whole thing sucks, of course Ahsoka feels abandoned. She was! Of course Anakin is angry. This is something to be angry about! But who should we all be angry at?
My favourite part of these episodes is definitely the last couple scenes. The council inviting Ahsoka back, and then Anakin and Ahsoka's conversation, which I won't even get into on this post. Yes, I completely believe that the council's words to Ahsoka were tone-deaf. But I think they were just so relieved! There's all the little details: Plo's expressions, the way Obi-Wan wanted to go after her too. I love it. One thing I find super interesting is that I think this is a situation where Anakin is actually the most "Informed," in a sense. He knows something Ahsoka doesn't grasp: the insane pressure the council is under. And he knows something the council doesn't grasp: what it feels like to be a young person who lives on the frontlines of this war. He knows the responsibility he has in this war. He knows the temptation to leave the order, to let his emotions take over. He's that little bit older than Ahsoka, and that much younger than the council members.
So I still don't know. So subtle it's really good? or too subtle. needed to be better. We'll never know. I'll never forgive the dumbness of that trial, and literally everything to do with Barriss, that's for sure.

Yeah i have my thoughts about it too.
I hate how hot he makes me in the pic....
I love this fight scene and honestly, this whole scene in general!!

in 2026, remember how GOOD writing feels. remember how satsfying it is to get your characters to the point you have been dying to get to, where they will experience the love, fear, relief or whatever the feeling you want to bring to life may be. let this year be the year of writing, prgress and of satisfactory endings.
Bro I'm back!! And Tumblr blocked my stuff/Not my stuff!! lol!!

RIVALS (2024-) | Episode 3
Writing Tools for Planning Your Story
I've tried tons of writing apps and sites, so you don't have to. Here's a list of free sites to plot out your novel, with my review and some images of how I use it.
Milanote
Milanote is like having a giant pinboard with folders. You can upload anything onto it [yes even your main doc] and then draw over it or connect things with lines and arrows
Milanote lets you add up to a hundred things for free, not including drawing. This is one of the downsides of the site as I've found myself reaching that limit recently.
For me, the best part is being able to draw over stuff, and the color swatches.
Milanote is a lot less structured than other sites I've used, and personally, I don't think their templates are worth using.
8/10 overall, Milanote is what I mainly use. Here are some pics of how I use it:
Miro
Miro is a flowchart website mainly used for corporate jobs, however, it can be a great plotting tool for that reason
Miro has a lot of great starter templates if you are looking for a more structured freeform experience. It also comes with a blank page as well.
Unfortunately, I'd argue that it's a bit of a hard tool for beginners to use without a template, I've learned copy-paste is my best friend with Miro the hard way.
It's much better than most platforms at making timelines though.
It has a limit of three boards which is a bit disappointing but overall, I think it's worth the try.
5/10 Miro is very middle of the road for me due to the limited ability to customize things and the free limit. Here are some pics:
[I wrote that part weeks ago, I am now fully using Miro and believe it's the best for making timelines and charts, I just wish it let me make more boards 8/10]
Hiveword
This might be someone's jam, I can't really say it's mine though.
First off, the unpaid version is really just a few boxes saying "Write a summary here." which makes it just not worth it in my opinion
There really isn't any way to customise things which is my favorite part of most of these softwares
I've barely used this, so maybe there's something I'm missing but
1/10, Just use Google Docs at this point, here's a couple pics
World Anvil
People like this software, it's mainly used for tabletop, which is just a different way of writing adventure, and I've seen it recommended by authors.
Unfortunately, I'm going to disagree with a lot of people and say it's hard to use and isn't even really good at plotting.
I may be biased on this one as every time I've tried to use it in the past I've struggled. However, it seems like another just write it in a document and create a folder.
I'd say it's closer to an organizing tool, but even then just use something else.
3/10, I have nothing to say about it but maybe you'll enjoy it, all here are two photos
Campfire
This is the one I think I've heard the most about, but have never actually tried.
right off the bat, I'm going to say this is 100% worth it, you'll see at the end with the photos but this is like if Miro and World Anvil had an organization baby.
It's extremely easy to understand, and it makes timelines, it's more for writing your whole book but idk about that yet.
7/10, its themes are really pretty but it limits how much you can do to 20 I believe. Here are the photos
That's all for now, honestly, I think you should use Miro if you are looking to plot things out, and Milanote if you want to collect and organize your thoughts for writing, as that's what I do. Obviously what I like won't be for everyone, but hopefully, this helped you see some options
