Oldest Dream
I’ve been playing around with this because I have no idea what to draw as the background… so I just went with clock like I always do lol
(🐈⬛) "off with their heads!" kinda mf
scratches head...I need to up my outfits game, dis shit all over the place
Anna Croft
Sneak peak for a tweening project I’m working on. I realized she doesn’t always have the black around her eye but I feel like she’s more recognizable with it
I wish I could reply to people’s reblogs🥲 you’re all so sweet in the tags
yoohan because we love yoohan
I miss my favorite minosoft workers
One of my favorite scenes in the novel is when they hold hands and Dokja’s heart rate slows down (instead of speeding up as it does in typical romantic scenes)🥹
(Prev)
“In a world turned upside down and where monsters were rampant, we still had to clear the snow.”

k kya trips and falls and yoohankims post canon saturday morning spills out of my bag oh oh no so clumsy of me blushes
“I was looking at the moment a human’s spirit collapsed. There was a broken voice. Like a creaking machine, Yoo Joonghyuk stammered, “Wh,at… should, I, d…o?”
just gonna dump all of my actual art onto this account. I do more than silly doodles guys!! Trust!!
Yoo Joonghyuk as a gamer and Kim Dokja as a QA beta tester is really evident in how they navigate the scenarios. Yoo Joonghyuk survives on practice and tenacity. If he keeps replaying the level, eventually, eventually, he will beat it.
Kim Dokja isn't a gamer, though. He's a beta tester. He finds loopholes, flaws, bugs in the system, some obscure forgotten feature he can twist to his advantage. He isn't meant to beat the game. He's meant to break it.
This audio fits Yoohankim so well oh lord
orv fans taking what dokja says at face value too much too often is lowk why so many characters, especially the women, are overhated or simply ignored (eg ANNA CROFT, LEE SEOLHWA COUGH COUGH). guys have we forgotten that dokja is a man 😭😭😭 can we pls read between the lines and learn to look past dokja’s shitty unreliable narration in order to understand our characters better 😭😭 please im sick and tired 😭😭😭
Biyoo’s name (analysis)
I’ve been thinking a lot about biyoo, or specifically the scene where she gets her name.
We all know how important names are in ORV and in Korean culture in general. Dokja was named “Dokja” because his mother wanted him to be a reader, and his father wanted him to grow up independent, someone who does not rely on others. And he becomes exactly that. A reader. Alone. A “dokja” in every sense of the word.
In Korean, “Biyoo” means “metaphor” or “analogy.” I have been thinking a lot about how Biyoo serves as a metaphor in the story. Honestly, it is hard to narrow her down to just one thing, because she embodies so many.
But the first thing that came to mind was “change”. She has been the 41st Shin Yoosung, a disaster, a wandering soul, a reincarnation, a dokkaebi. She takes on multiple forms throughout the novel. She is never just one fixed existence.
Dokja’s name put him in a box. It defined him before he had the chance to define himself. He was the reader, the observer, the one outside the story. But Biyoo, the “metaphor,” is not confined to one literal meaning. A metaphor shifts depending on context.
While Dokja’s name trapped him, Biyoo’s name allows her to become something fluid. Something that changes. Something that can mean more than one thing at once.
(I doubt this was the intended meaning, but honestly I don’t think it matters. Death of the author and all that)
Another quick doodle because idk it’s just fun
(I’d love to take requests btw these are very quick and easy)
